Change Your Order

If you want to make any changes to an order you can do so from Your Account as long as the order is open. You can learn how to make changes by clicking the relevant links below. An order is considered to be open if it hasn't entered the dispatch process.

Please note that making changes to an open order might affect the original estimated delivery date.

To find out if your order is open, click Your Account at the top of any page. On the Your Account page, click "Your Orders". If your order is listed as "Not Yet Dispatched" or "Preparing for Dispatch" it's open. If it's listed as "Dispatching Now" you'll see a "request cancellation" button as long as the item hasn't already dispatched. You can use this to request the cancellation of an item that's entered the dispatch process and you'll get an e-mail notification of whether or not this request has been successful, usually within 2 hours.

If you want to cancel an order placed with a third-party seller on Amazon Marketplace, you have a 30  minute window after placing the order in which you can cancel it yourself by going to Your Account. See Cancelling or Changing a Marketplace Order for more information and advice.

You'll see a list of your orders with the current status ("not yet dispatched", "dispatching soon" or "dispatched") above each one.

How can I change the delivery address on my order?


The video below will guide you through how to change the delivery address on your existing order:

Change Delivery Address

  1. Click the following link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/css/history/orders/view.html
  2. On the next page, find the order you want to change. Next to it, click the "Change Delivery Address" button. If the order doesn't have this button next to it, it's entered the dispatch process and can't be changed, not even by our customer service team
  3. Next you'll see a list of all the addresses in your address book. Click "Dispatch to this Address" next to the one you want to use. Alternatively, click the "Add Another Address" button if you want to enter a new address
  4. When entering a new address we ask you to re-enter your credit/debit card details for security reasons. Enter the address and payments details and click the "Confirm" button.

Can I change the invoice address associated with my order?

Yes, you can. Like this...

  1. Click the following link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/css/history/orders/view.html
  2. On the next page, find the order you want to change. Next to it, click the "View Order Details" link
  3. On the next page, scroll down to the "Payment Information" section and click the "Change" button next to "Invoice Address"
  4. Next you'll see a list of all the addresses in your address book. Click "Dispatch to this Address" next to the one you want to use. Alternatively, click the "Add another address" button if you want to enter a new address
  5. When entering a new address we ask that you to re-enter your credit/debit card details for security reasons. Enter the address and payments details and click the "Confirm" button.

Can I change the delivery option I chose?

  2. On the next page find the order you want to change. Next to it, click the "Change Delivery Option" button. If the button doesn't appear, it's entered the dispatch process and can't be changed, not even by our customer service team
  3. On the next page, select a new delivery option and click the "Confirm" button. You'll then see the order details again, including your new order total. Please note that if you want to change your delivery option to Super Saver Delivery but find the option isn't displayed, it's because your order isn't eligible. Is it possible to change the number of deliveries my order will come in?

Changing the number of deliveries is useful if you've placed an order for more than one item but one of those items is holding up the order (eg: it's got a long availability or is on pre-order). By increasing the number of deliveries you split your order to get the available items sooner.

  2. On the next page, find the order you want to change. Next to it, click the "Change Delivery Option" button. If the order doesn't have this button next to it, it's entered the dispatch process and can't be changed
  3. Change your delivery preference to "Dispatch my items as they become available (at extra postage cost)" and click the "Confirm" button. Please note that if you split your order in this way, the postage costs will increase to cover the cost of the additional delivery/deliveries.

If you choose the "Group my items into as few deliveries as possible" option, you will be charged the amount quoted at checkout for delivery.  We calculate this charge based on the highest applicable per-delivery charge of all the items in your order plus the per-item charge for each item.

If you choose the "I want my items faster. Deliver items as they become available" option, the delivery amount displayed when you place your order shows how much you'll pay if each item dispatches separately. We try to dispatch items together as much as possible, so your actual delivery total will usually be less than the estimate.

Can I change how I'm paying for my order?

Change Payment Method

To change your payment method for an open order:

  1. Click the following link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/css/history/orders/view.html
  2. On the next page, find the order you want to change. Next to it, click the "Change Payment Method" button. If the order doesn't have this button next to it, it's entered the dispatch process and can't be changed
  3. On the next page, either select a different payment card or add a new one.

To add a credit card to your account:

  1. Go to Your Account
  2. Under Payment & GC, click on "add a credit card"
  3. Enter the card details and select an invoice address.

Can I cancel some of the items from my order?

As long as it hasn't entered the dispatch process, yes you can.

  2. On the next page, find the order you want to change. Next to it, click the "Cancel items" button. If the order doesn't have this button next to it, it's entered the dispatch process and can't be changed
  3. On the next screen tick the box next to the item you want to cancel and then click the "Cancel Selected Items" button.
