Buy Movies & TV Shows

You can buy and rent Amazon Instant Video titles from the Amazon website or your compatible device.

Like most digital content sold by Amazon, Amazon Instant Video uses 1-Click ordering for all purchases.

When you order movies and TV shows, they automatically charge to the default 1-Click payment method on your account, and are delivered to Your Video Library right away.

To view or change your 1-Click payment settings, go to your Amazon Instant Video Settings and Devices from your web browser.

Note: Amazon Instant Video on is only available to customers located in the United Kingdom. To purchase Amazon Instant Video titles, you need an account with a billing address and 1-Click payment method from an eligible location.

Once you've set your 1-Click payment method, you can rent and buy videos from the Amazon website or your connected device:

  1. Open Amazon Instant Video from your computer's web browser, or open the Amazon Instant Video app on your device.
  2. Browse featured categories or use Search to find a specific title.
  3. Select a title to open its video details.
  4. Select Buy or Rent and confirm your purchase.

    Note: If you have PIN on Purchase turned on in your Amazon Instant Video Settings, you need to enter your PIN when prompted to complete Amazon Instant Video orders. For more information, go to Set Your Amazon Instant Video PIN.

When you select Buy, you're purchasing a video to own, and can watch it anytime from Your Video Library on any of your connected devices.

When you select Rent (for movies), you have a set rental period to watch the video on any of your devices. The video is automatically removed from your library as soon as the rental period is over.

After your order is complete, select Watch Now to start playback.

Trouble with a Purchase?

If you can't find a video you purchased or rented, check the order status in Your Digital Orders to make sure the related order is complete. You may need to update your payment information in your Amazon Instant Video Settings and Devices.
