Register Your Device

To access Amazon Instant Video titles on your compatible device, you first need to register it to your Amazon account.

If you're using one of the following devices, you can complete the registration process directly within the Amazon Instant Video app:

  • iOS (iPhone, iPad & iPod touch)
  • LG TVs released in 2012 or later
  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 3
  • Samsung TVs released in 2012 or later
  • Sony Blu-ray Players released in 2014 or later
  • Wii
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox 360
  • Kindle Fire
    Tip: For more information about registering your Kindle Fire, go to Kindle Support, and select your device.

Just select Sign In or Register Your Device from the Amazon Instant Video Home screen, and enter your Amazon account information where prompted.

If you're not using one of the compatible devices listed above, or if you don't have an account yet, follow the steps below to register your device using a registration code:
  1. Find the 5-character registration code on your device by selecting Register Your Device from the Amazon Instant Video Home screen or the Help screen.
  2. From your computer, go to Register Your Compatible TV or Device.
  3. Enter your registration code in the text box.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Tip: If someone in your household has an Amazon Prime membership, it's best to use that account when registering your device so you can take full advantage of Prime Instant Video.   • You can register your device to one account at a time.
  • If you're using a Nintendo Wii or Wii U, you may first need to return to the Wii Menu and re-open the Amazon Instant Video app to access the Register your Device option above.
  • To register your Sony BRAVIA® device with Amazon Instant Video, you must first register with Sony Entertainment Network. Some BRAVIA® devices also require a BRAVIA® Internet Video Link. If you get a "Cannot unregister device at this time" error message, restarting your device may resolve the issue.
