Lightning Deals Terms & Conditions

  1. A "Lightning Deal" promotion applies to selected products ("Qualifying Items"). A limited quantity of each Qualifying Item will be available for each Lightning Deal (the "Promotional Stock").
  2. Each Lightning Deal is available for the period indicated (the "Lightning Deal Period") on the specified day (the "Promotion Day"). The time of each Lightning Deal Period remaining is displayed next to each Qualifying Item.
  3. From the start of the Lightning Deal Period each Qualifying Item will be available to order on www.amazon.co.uk (the "Website") at the specified discount (the "Lightning Deal Discount"). To receive the Lightning Deal Discount you must first claim then redeem the Lightning Deal.
  4. The Lightning Deal price displayed on all Lightning Deals is the price paid by you wherever you are based and irrespective of your VAT registered status. Accordingly, the actual discount you receive (relative to the VAT inclusive price you would otherwise pay) may differ from the Lightning Deal Discount displayed.
  5. To claim a Lightning Deal, you must add the Qualifying Item to your "Shopping Basket" before the end of the Lightning Deal Period and while Promotional Stock is available.
  6. To redeem the Lightning Deal, you must check out by first clicking the Proceed to Checkout button from your Shopping Basket and then completing your purchase. You must complete your purchase within 15 minutes of claiming the Lightning Deal, or by 23:59 UK time on the Promotion Day, whichever of these two events occurs first.
  7. You may only claim one unit of Promotional Stock in each Lightning Deal (unless otherwise stated).
  8. If all the Promotional Stock has been claimed but not redeemed and the Lightning Deal Period hasn't expired, customers may be offered to join a queue (the "Waitlist") for a chance to claim the Lightning Deal, until all Waitlist places have been filled. When you join the Waitlist, you'll see your place in the queue and messaging indicating your "chance" of becoming eligible to claim the Lightning Deal if you stay in the queue - for more details see Join a Waitlist. The Waitlist will close upon the earlier of the sale of all Promotional Stock and 23:59 UK time on the Promotion Day.
  9. Amazon may re-run Lightning Deals for the same Qualifying Item on different Promotion Days, or offer the Qualifying Item in any other promotion regardless of whether all of the Promotional Stock for any one Lightning Deal has been redeemed by 23:59 UK time on its specified Promotion Day.
  10. The Lightning Deal applies only to items sold by Amazon or participating third-party sellers on the Website. The Lightning Deal does not apply to purchases made from Amazon's Warehouse Deals or from other third-party sellers.
  11. If you cancel your order for an item of Promotional Stock, the Lightning Deal will cease to apply. If you return an item of Promotional Stock, any refund applied to your account will be for the price you paid as part of the Lightning Deal.
  12. Postage and packing will be applied to each item in accordance with Amazon's standard delivery rates and policies or the participating third-party seller's standard delivery rates and policies, as applicable.
  13. Amazon's Conditions of Use and Sale for using the Website apply. If you have any enquiries please contact Amazon using the online e-mail form.
