Evening Delivery details and terms and conditions of service

When you choose Evening Delivery items are delivered on the same day you place your order. Qualifying orders must be placed before the deadline displayed on the product detail page and dispatched to an eligible address. If the order is placed after the deadline, your order will be delivered the next business day. If the Evening Delivery option doesn't appear, the order isn't eligible for Evening Delivery. Item eligibility is indicated on the product detail page and during checkout.

Currently, this service is available for areas within the M25 Circular Motorway around London and certain post codes in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol and Cardiff in the United Kingdom. For a full list of eligible post codes click here. We hope to be able to offer this service to more customers in the future.

We recommended that you include a phone number that you can be contacted on, as part of your delivery address so that the Carrier will be able to contact you if needed. Please ensure that you always check the parcel before you accept it from the Carrier. When the parcel arrives, please check that there's no damage to the outer packaging. If there is damage to the other packaging please either refuse delivery or sign for the parcel as damaged.

When will I receive my order?

• Deliveries will be made between 18:30 and 21:30 Monday to Friday and between 14:30 and 17:30 on Saturdays and Sundays.
• A Signature will be required.
• If you're not at home when the delivery attempt is made a card will be left with a phone number for you to contact for a re-delivery.

Here's how to select Evening Delivery:

1. Add the item to your Shopping Basket and proceed to the checkout.
2. Provide a delivery address within the M25 Circular Motorway around London or within a Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol or Cardiff postcode area. If your delivery post code isn't eligible for Evening Delivery, the Evening Delivery option won't be displayed at the checkout.
3. Select Evening Delivery as your delivery speed. This will be at a cost of GBP 14.99.
4. Pay using your full credit/debit card number. If we're not able to charge your credit/debit card on the day you place your order, we won't be able to dispatch the item in time.
5. If your order contains any items that are not eligible for Evening Delivery you won't be able to select Evening Delivery.
6. Place your order before the deadline displayed on the product information page.

Note: If Evening Delivery is selected for an order placed on a regional or national holiday the order will be delivered the next working day.

Note: Cancelling items, combining orders or changing your delivery address or delivery options after you place the order could mean your order is no longer eligible for Evening Delivery. We recommend you don't make any changes to your order after the Evening Delivery deadline has passed.

Evening Delivery and 1-Click ordering

The default delivery speed for 1-Click ordering is First Class. However, if an item you have ordered via 1-Click is eligible for Evening Delivery and the Evening Delivery deadline has not yet passed, you can change your delivery option after placing the 1-Click order.

What happens if I choose Evening Delivery and my order doesn't arrive on time?

If you order eligible items before the order deadline and choose the Evening Delivery option at the checkout, we'll dispatch your items to ensure they arrive on or before the time advertised on the product's detail page and in the checkout process. If this doesn't happen we'll refund your delivery fee

• For your order to qualify for Evening Delivery, your credit card must be successfully charged before the deadline displayed on the item's product information page and in the checkout.
• A signature is required for Evening deliveries. If delivery is delayed as a result of there being no one present to sign for the package, you won't be refunded delivery rates.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: IN THE EVENT AN ORDER FOR WHICH YOU HAVE PAID EVENING DELIVERY FEES IS NOT DELIVERED ON THE SAME DAY (OR THE NEXT DAY IN CASE OF ORDERS MADE ON A HOLIDAY) YOUR ONLY REMEDY WILL BE A REFUND OF THE EVENING DELIVERY FEES PAID FOR THE ORDER. AMAZON.CO.UK WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY OTHER LOSS OR DAMAGE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE (FOR EXAMPLE, SHOULD YOU PURCHASE THE PRODUCTS AT A HIGHER PRICE FROM ANOTHER RETAILER) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE FACT THAT AN EVENING DELIVERY WAS NOT DELIVERED OR WAS NOT DELIVERED ON TIME. THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY APPLIES IN ADDITION TO ANY PROVISION SET OUT IN AMAZON.CO.UK'S CONDITIONS OF USE AND SALE.

The Fine Print

• Evening Delivery is only available for items that include a message about Evening Delivery below the availability information on their product information page. If the item's product information page does not include this message, it is not eligible for Evening Delivery.
• Evening Delivery is only available for products sold by Amazon via our website http://www.amazon.co.uk. Does not apply to any products purchased at Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca or any other website operated by Amazon.co.uk, its affiliates or third-party merchants accessible from our site (including, for example, Electronics featured merchants). Does not apply to any products purchased from third parties or through Amazon Marketplace. If Evening Delivery isn't advertised for an item, Evening Delivery is not available.
• Evening Delivery is only available for delivery addresses within the M25 Circular Motorway around London and Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol and Cardiff post code areas.
• Evening Delivery is not available for P.O. boxes or BFPO addresses.
• Evening Delivery may not be used with free Super Saver Delivery.
• Note the important "Limitation of liability" section, above.
• We will not refund the Evening Delivery fee in the event of delays, service interruptions or failures caused by events beyond Amazon's control, such as but not limited to floods, explosions, accidents, adverse weather conditions, exceptional traffic congestion, riots, war, terrorism, strikes and industrial disputes.
• Amazon reserves the right to change or discontinue Evening Delivery at its discretion at any time.
