Inventory Loader
The Inventory Loader enables Pro-merchant Subscribers to list and maintain thousands of non-book items in Amazon.co.uk Marketplace. Click the links below to find out more.
With the Inventory Loader you can upload several thousand Amazon.co.uk listings in a single file. E-mail notification is sent shortly afterwards to let you know how many of your listings were successfully uploaded. You can keep your listings up to date by modifying existing items, adding new stock and deleting unavailable items whenever necessary.

Uploading Your File
To upload your Inventory Loader File, you'll need to access Your Seller Account.
Selecting an Upload Option
You can choose from the following:
- Add/Modify/Delete select this option to upload a batch of Amazon.co.uk Marketplace listings containing additions, modifications and/or deletions to your current inventory. Deletions must be marked as such on your template (with a "d" in the add-delete field) and our system will update the items to reflect your modifications. (If you are listing a quantity of items, after selling one of them you can only modify the price, quantity or category of the listing. If you wish to make any other modifications, you will need to close and re-list the item.)
- Purge and Replace select this option to purge all of your current Amazon.co.uk Marketplace listings and replace them with the listings contained in your template. (If you are listing a single item in quantity, once you sell it, you cannot purge and replace if the matching sku of that listing has been modified. In this instance, you will need to close and re-list the item) .
Please note: Selecting this option means your items will take considerably longer to re-list.
- Modify/Delete select this option to upload modifications to your current inventory if you don't want to supply all of the fields that an Add/Modify/Delete file requires. The sku field is required in this upload file so we can identify the record you wish to modify, as well as at least one additional field that you are choosing to modify. Note: you can only alter price, so include the price column.
How to Upload
- Click the List single item or upload multiple items link.
- Click the Inventory Loader link.
- Once you've prepared your Inventory Loader file, click the start uploading your inventory now button.
- You may be asked to sign-in again for security reasons.
- You will then be directed to the uploading page.
- On the Uploading page, when asked to select your file type, select tab de-limited (.txt).
- When asked where you're uploading to, select Amazon.co.uk Marketplace and/or zShops.
- When selecting your upload option, select Add/Modify/Delete or Purge and Replace.
Please note: Don't select Add/Modify/Delete unless you want to add, modify or delete part of your listings.
Updating Your File
To update your inventory, amend the file then follow the instructions for Uploading Your File, above.
If you'd like to replace your entire catalogue, purge and replace all your Amazon.co.uk listings with a single upload. We strongly advise you only use Purge and Replace if absolutely necessary, as your listings will take considerably longer to go live than when using the Add/Modify/Delete option.
Reviewing Your Upload & Understanding Errors
Approximately three hours after submitting your upload, you'll receive an e-mail informing you that the upload has been accepted--or rejected due to a file error. If you have uploaded a large file, it may take longer to process.
Under Manage Your Inventory in Your Seller Account, you can view the status of your upload by clicking review your inventory upload.
If there's been a problem with your upload, any items not successfully uploaded will be listed in detail in the Error Log. Warnings are listings that are still uploadable to our system, but their appearance may be altered (i.e., if a field exceeds the maximum character allowance). Errors are listings that contain inadequate or flawed information and can't be uploaded until they've been fixed.
For more information and definitions of error and warning messages, see Reviewing Your Inventory Upload.
Closing Your Listings
To update or close your listings, follow exactly the same procedure as when you load your initial file.
If you have sold an item somewhere other than Amazon.co.uk and you no longer have the item(s) in stock, you will need to delete it from our site. To do this, follow the instructions for Uploading Your File, above, with your file of deletes and/or additions.
