    Redeeming a Gift Certificate

    To redeem your Amazon.co.uk gift certificate (which has a 14 digit claim code), simply follow the steps below.

    1. Select the items you wish to order, using your Shopping Basket. (Please note, you cannot use the 1-Click shopping method when redeeming a gift certificate.)
    2. In the order form, you'll see a box that says "Have you got a gift certificate or promotional code?".
    3. Enter your claim code into the box and click the "Apply" button.

    You will be able to see that the value of your gift certificate has been deducted from the total cost in the order summary.

    When you have successfully placed your order, the following message will be displayed: "Thank you--we have received your order".

    If the value of your gift certificate exceeds your order value, any remaining balance is added to your gift certificate account. You will be given the option to use that balance when you place future orders.

    If your order total exceeds the value of your gift certificate you will be asked to provide a credit or debit card number or redeem another gift certificate to pay the balance.

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    These conditions apply to gift certificates which have a claim code with a 14 digit combination of letters and numbers (Different conditions apply to promotional gift certificates which have a claim code with a 16 digit combination of letters and numbers).

    1. Amazon.co.uk gift certificates and gift cards ('GCs') must be redeemed on the Amazon.co.uk website or the affiliated website Javari.co.uk, towards the purchase of eligible products listed in our online catalogue and sold by Amazon.co.uk, Amazon's Preferred Merchant Indigostarfish.com or any other seller selling through the Amazon.co.uk platform. GC's cannot be redeemed at Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.jp or at any of Amazon.co.uk's Trusted Partner sites.
    2. GCs cannot be used to pay for GCs.
    3. GCs have no cash redemption value and are not transferable or assignable.
    4. Any unused balance will be recorded in the recipient's 'Your Account' on Amazon.co.uk.
    5. If the order exceeds the amount of the GC, the balance must be paid by credit or debit card.
    6. Please use our Shopping Basket rather than our 1-Click ordering method when paying for an order with a GC.
    7. GCs and unused portions of GCs expire one year from the date of issue, where permissible under applicable law.
    8. The GC can be applied to an open order by visiting the relevant Order Summary page in the "Your Account" section of our website.
    9. Normal Amazon.co.uk terms and conditions of purchase and for using the Amazon.co.uk website apply.
    10. Please note that some products available for sale on the Amazon.co.uk website may not be purchased by persons under a specified age. If you are planning to give a GC to someone under 18 years of age, please ensure that they are made aware that some products are unavailable to them.
    11. One or more GCs can be redeemed against an order. Also GCs can be combined with one Amazon.co.uk promotional gift certificate.
    12. Amazon.co.uk is not responsible if a GC is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
