Many customers will be aware that the Communications Workers Union has announced strikes for Royal Mail staff on November 4, 2013. Amazon.co.uk is working hard to minimise the impact on customers during this period, sending orders to our other carriers to ensure that our deliveries are not affected.
One-Day Delivery and Amazon Prime orders are unaffected, with guaranteed next-business-day delivery for orders placed before the deadline messaged in the Checkout. Express and Evening orders are also unaffected. Some Super Saver Delivery and First Class orders could take 1-2 days longer than usual to be delivered. No delay is expected to international orders.
While we have updated the Estimated Delivery Dates provided after you place your order to reflect our current best estimate of the impact of the strike, some deliveries may arrive after the Estimated Delivery Date given.
