Amazon Mobile App Overview

The Amazon Mobile application for Android presents a shopping experience optimised specifically for phones and tablets running the Android operating system.

Both Amazon Mobile applications allow you to easily search for and find the stuff you want to buy and view product specs on item detail pages. There you'll find product descriptions, customer reviews, similar offerings and the options to add the item to your Wish List, the Shopping Basket or buy it instantly using 1-Click ordering.

The applications also help you turn on Mobile 1-Click, provide easy access to your address book and payment methods and present you with all the convenient shopping features available on Amazon.co.uk

Installing the Amazon Mobile App

To install the app, simply visit the Google Play Store on your mobile device and look for Amazon Mobile. For the optimised Android phone application, install the Amazon Mobile application. For the optimised Android tablet application, install the Amazon Mobile (Tablet) application. When your installation is complete, open the Amazon Mobile icon on your mobile device to start shopping.

Shopping with the Amazon Mobile App

When you launch Amazon Mobile for Android, we'll present you with a search field on the Amazon Mobile home page. Enter a search term and select "Go" next to the search box to start shopping. You can buy items by using 1-Click ordering or the Shopping Basket.

Ordering Using 1-Click

The easiest method of shopping is via 1-Click. 1-Click shopping uses the default settings on your account to complete your purchase quickly. Read below to learn how to enable and use 1-Click.

To turn on Mobile 1-Click:

  1. With the application running, click the Menu button on your phone and select "Your Account."
  2. Select "View or Change 1-Click Settings" under the Account Settings section.
  3. Sign in with your e-mail address and password if prompted.
  4. Enable "Mobile 1-Click" in the 1-Click Ordering section.
  5. Review the name or phone number that appears in the Mobile Phone Name section. (Select the "Change" option and enter new information if you want to change it.)
  6. Select a default delivery address and payment method from the Delivery Address and Payment section. If the displayed information is correct, you don't need to make any changes.

To order using Mobile 1-Click:

  1. Visit the product detail page for an item you wish to buy.
  2. Select "Buy Now with 1-Click" on the product detail page. Amazon Prime members will also see 1-Click ordering options depending on the Prime delivery options available.

If you see a "Buy Now" option, select that and we'll walk you through just a couple of steps to complete your purchase.

Ordering Using the Shopping Basket

If you prefer to add items to your basket and get assistance completing your order step by step, the Amazon Mobile App also provides easy access to your address book and payment methods and presents you with all the convenient shopping features available on Amazon.co.uk.

To order via the Shopping Basket:

  1. Visit the product detail page for an item you wish to buy.
  2. Select "Add to Basket."
  3. Select the Shopping Basket tab at the top right of any Amazon Mobile App page when you are finished adding items to your basket.
  4. If you need to edit the items in your Basket, or wish to move items to or from the Basket to Save For Later, select the appropriate option next to the item in the Basket.
  5. Select the "Checkout" option in the upper right-hand corner when you are ready to complete your order.
  6. Review your order. You can edit the payment method, delivery address and delivery options by selecting those items on the Review Order screen.
  7. Select the "Place Order" option to complete your purchase.

You'll see an order confirmation screen when your purchase has been completed.

Accessing Your Account

The Amazon Mobile application also provides easy access to Your Account, so you can view or update your orders, and track your deliveries.

To view Your Account:

  1. With Amazon Mobile running, click the 'Menu' button on your phone and select "Your Account."
  2. Select the "Change/Cancel Items or Orders" or "Track Packages" option. Either selection will display your order history.

You may be asked to sign in. You can change the order period by selecting "View Order Period" and then selecting the desired date range.
