The only thing you need to watch if you use T Mobile in the UK is that in some areas, the 3G signal actually comes from Orange. When this happens, it looks to the modem as though your are "roaming" (because the signal you are using has a different network provider ID from the T-Mobile one in your SIM). Normally, roaming happens when you are in another country and because it can attract much higher data charges, the Android system initially blocks data transfer and puts a small-sized capital R in the status bar, just above the triangle that shows the 3D connection is active. If you see that R you need to go into the 3G settings and check the box saying "Allow data transfer when Roaming". As soon as you do that, the data will start to flow.I guess the same thing applies to Orange users if they pick up a T-Mobile signal, but I don't have an Orange SIM, so I've only had this happen to me with a T-Mobile SIM.

I use a T Mobile Pay as You Go Dongle and it works very well indeed.

I would suggest you try a sim from Giffgaff (Google is your friend!) they do monthly pay as you go data packages with sims designed specifically for dongles.

As I said in a reply to another of your posts on the same issue, I don't think you're likely to get a pin-locked SIM to work in one of these tabs. It's not the modem dongle that's your problem, it's the way a PIN lock works. The answer is to get a SIM that doesn't require a PIN to access the network. If that's not an option for you, you will probably need to forget about using the dongle and WiFi-tether to your phone instead, if your phone can emulate a Wifi hotspot.

Can't get it to work. The sim card I am using has a lock on it and tablet keeps telling me that my pin is incorrect, which I know it isn't. Also says on same screen CDMA where it asks for pin code, thought it should say WCDMA? as you can tell, am sure am not tecky! Please help, someone as contacting the seller has not invoked any response. thanks
