I absolutely love the agatha raisin series and wonder if anyone knows when mc beaton is bringing out another book as I have devoured them all so far!

I'd be interested to know how old Agatha is supposed to be now - in 2013. She was in her early fifties when we were first introduced to her, she must be fast approaching eighty now! I love the stories but would like to have seen Agatha and also Hamish Macbeth age as the stories went along. Two and a half decades is a long time to stay the same age while the writer is bringing in comments that reflect news items and political situations of the day to each new book.

I am NOT disgruntled,I merely disagree with Margaret about Agatha staying the same age throughout the series, although I understand what she means.I wouldn't like her to lose her 'scattiness',which I think she would with advanced age.It IS a fictional piece, after all,and I too have read them all.Whilst waiting eagerly for the next instalment,I'm even re-reading them from the start.I LOVE the Agatha Raisin series, and want more, more, more, please!

Would love to read the new book on my Kindle but why is it more expensive to download than to buy a paperback which I can share with my friends?

I think it is nice that Agatha and Hamish stay the same age, It's fiction after all!! and I'm sure we wouldn't be obsessed with our appearance (like Agatha is) in our seventies,as I am now. I love reading about her antics and obsessions! So keep her the same age please Marc Pharaoh
