J R Wards novels are unsurpassable in this genre. Or should i say ghenre! While i have many books of this ilk in my collection, and many i adore, she is Qhueen!(fans will get the 'h') Of course it is a matter of choice, but be daring, enter the world of The Brotherhood. A cosy sofa, good coffee and let yourself escape.
I have to agree with you. I too love her books and I agree about the price's of the books going crazy. However, this being said, I never buy my books new so other than the recent releases (which I have no choice but to purchase from new), I buy them second hand for a fraction of the cost. I also own a Kindle, bought by my husband to save me carrying an awkward book everywhere I go. All of JR Ward, Sherryln Kennyon, Christine Feenhan and other favourite authors books are so expensive to buy on Kindle that I have now started buying the paperbacks (secondhand) again. When asked by my other half why I wasn't using my Kindle, I had to explain I wasn't prepared to pay £4.98 for a Kindle purchase when I could buy the same book second hand for 40p. Also, as my purchases have been second hand, the savings I've made can go towards the new releases (I have to have my fix when they release their latest books and to keep my collection going). As an example, Lover Avenged costs £5.98 in paperback new but only 1p if you buy second hand saving £3.17 if you include the postage. Its the only way to go if you want to build your libary as I have a brilliant collection of books. I think it's the publisher's who are being greedy. They know she's a fantastic author, as is Miss Kenyon and Feenhan so they're charging silly prices. So, buy second hand and save a few pennies for the new releases :)
