Intending to get a Kindle before the end of this year... Already have it on PC and iPhone. GUTTED to find that no Harry Potter books are available! As one of my favourite sets of books I really wanted to download these! Have heard that JK Rowling not keen on non "paper" versions, but as much as I get this philosophy and also love reading an actual "book", this is not always practical! I suffer a damaged shoulder, not helped by years of carrying about several books for
reading in my bag( a bit of a book worm!!).
Now looking at Kindle to let me do this with no
injury!!

I also work as a nurse with quite disabled
people, and increasingly they are opting for
eReaders because they find holding a heavy
book impossible! Several of my patient are HP
fans and there is no denying that these books
weigh a ton for disabled people! While audio versions are a possible solution, READING the words is much better!

Come on JK.... Make your books accessible to a full audience!!!

I agree, I've bought and read the books but would like to read deathly hallows again before I see the film but think I leant it to someone and can't remember who... I'm not about to buy another hard copy but I would buy it for my kindle; would even buy the full set for my kindle. I know she's made a lot of money from the books already but she could make even more if she released the right to publish them on kindle!

I have also brought a kindle for christmas for my wife. She was keen to download the Harry Potter books only to find them unavailable. Very dissapointed. You would think if the book was availble to buy on Amazon then it would be available on Kindle. Come on people !! Get your act together. I don't think it should be the responsibility of the customer to request authors to get their books on Kindle it should be Amazon.

My 8 year old got a Kindle for Xmas and although a v.keen reader has not yet read the H.Potter books. I would have bought these for her if available on Kindle. Not sure I'd buy the books unless she was desperate to read them. There's plently of other authors who are releasing titles in Kindle editions and we don't have much space left in her bookcase! This is 2011 - technology is the future JK Rowling.

If you go to www.pottermore.com then you can register for access to the site later this month and there will be an online shop which is apparently going to include e-copies of all the books. Lots to see and do on the site which has been available for beta testing for some users since August this year. Happy reading everyone! Join in all the experiences online; even get sorted into your Houses and buy all your school items from Diagon Alley. Brew potions and meet other students in the common-rooms. So much to do and it's all free!! Enjoy!!!

pottermore appears to be a waste of time i registered my email address wayback when it first got introduced. ....still waiting and not a sign of it ever being ready as i didnt make the beta list. and apparently when it does open you still have to register. lost the will to live, resorted to other means (all legal as far as i am aware) my kind friend abroad downloaded her mobi versions (which are perfect) and now i have read them 3 times more.apparently she bought them on ebay... not happy i couldnt buy them but fed up of being dictated too as to what i can read because i prefer a kindle....bet this gets deleted lol

by saying buy them i mean properly from amazon or pottermore not off ebay. i dont usually agree with dodgy stuff (if it is dodgy) but i think my mate was losing the wil to live hearing me moan about missing the books so much!

www.pottermore.com will be having Ebooks available, when they finally release the site - when the news launch announced the site, it started beta on Harrys Birthday, was due to go live before christmas so the ebooks would be available. Sadly, it seems "servers arent coping with the load" .. oh wait, you released something with "new" info about harry potter, the beta testers can tell you it has additional info about characters and aspects of the books and it was supposed to have a shop where you could buy the ebooks.. Of course the zillions of potter fans lept on it and wanted in.. sigh.

i've loved these books scince i was about 10 i still love them reading them again and again but i hate how i can only read them in the home - the bigger bulkyer boos are no good for holidays or even to read on the bus and as much as i love them i cant read them anytime - please JK more and more kids are getting e-readers or use there parents let it be available to people. i know a few dyslexics like me who never read harry potter because of the book format starting there reading impairment up - one that isnt effected by kindles let everyone enjoy your books :)
