84th Annual Academy Award® Winners

The Artist dominated 2012's ceremony with five Academy Awards wins, an amazing triumph surpassing last year's frontrunner The King's Speech, which scooped a total of four Oscars. Jean Dujardin became the first French actor in the ceremony's history to win Best Actor for his role in the silent film, and the winning lady on the night was Meryl Streep, whose depiction of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady saw her take home the Best Actress award. Christopher Plummer also made history by becoming the oldest actor ever to win an Oscar for his role in Beginners.
