2. Once you've received your camera, download your claim form here, then print it off ready for completion.

3. Complete your claim form with your requested personal details and the product's serial number, which can be found on the bottom of the camera, then send it with your original proof of your qualifying purchase (a receipt or other standard proof of purchase), to the following address:

PowerShot SX Cashback Promotion Terms and Conditions.

1. Participants

1.1 This promotion is only available on purchases made of the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS, SX20 IS, SX200 IS or SX120 IS (the “Promotion Products”) within the UK or Republic of Ireland (ROI) between Wednesday 28th October 2009 and Thursday 24th December 2009 inclusive.

1.2 All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in the European Union.

1.3 Those making claims on behalf of a company/business must be authorised by their Employer to do so.

1.4 All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. How to participate

2.1 To enter the promotion, the participant must purchase a Canon PowerShot SX1 IS, SX20 IS, SX200 IS or SX120 IS within the UK or ROI during the promotional dates specified in Clause 2.2 below. AND submit a claim in accordance with 2.3 below.

2.2 Purchases must be made between Wednesday 28th October 2009 and Thursday 24th December 2009 to take advantage of this promotion. Purchases made after 24th December 2009 will not be eligible for Cashback under this promotion.

2.3 To claim the Cashback, participants must submit a valid claim by midnight on Monday 1st February 2009 by:

2.3.1 Fully and correctly complete either; (i)
an in-store leaflet; or (ii) a claim form which can be downloaded from www.canon.co.uk/powershotcashback or www.canon.ie/powershotcashback. The claim form can also be obtained by contacting the promoter;

2.3.2 The participant must then send the completed claim form, together with the original receipt or valid proof of purchase to the following address; PowerShot SX Cashback Promotion, FREEPOST RRRX-UHCE-RSGT, PWA, 9-12 Eastman Way, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7DU.

2.4 All claims must be received by the closing date of Monday 1st February 2009. Canon will not process any claims received after this date and accepts no responsibility for claims lost or delayed.

2.5 Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will issue a cheque in the currency specified on the claim form payable to the name supplied on the claim form (the “claimant”) and will post this cheque, together with the original receipt or proof of purchase received, to the address specified on the claim form.

2.6 Where a claimant fails to select a currency, one may be allocated at the absolute discretion of the promoter.

2.7 Canon will endeavour to issue a cheque within 28 days of receipt of a valid claim.

2.8 Only one claim per product purchased may be made.

2.9 The original receipt must be sent to the address specified in 2.3.2. with the claim form. Photocopies will not be accepted.

2.10 Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.

2.11 No responsibility will be accepted for claims lost, delayed or damaged in the post or for those claims not received by the closing date specified in Clause 2.4.

2.12 Claims will be disqualified and invalid if incomplete or illegible.

2.13 This promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion whatsoever.

3. Cashback

3.1 The Cashback will be sent to the person named as claimant in the form of a cheque in the selected currency and no alternative arrangement will be entered into.

3.2 It is the claimant’s responsibility to cash the cheque whilst it is still valid.

3.3 The total value of each claim will be calculated using details supplied with the claim form and one cheque will be issued per valid claim.

4. THE PROMOTER

5. DISCLAIMERS

5.1 Canon (UK) Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon.

5.2 Canon (UK) Ltd shall not be liable for any failure to fulfill this offer where such failure is caused by any supervening circumstances amounting to force majeure. Such circumstances shall include, but shall not be limited to, severe weather conditions, fire, flood, war, earthquake, riots, industrial dispute, terrorism, acts of God, supervening legislation, or events which, without the fault of either party, render performance impossible or incapable of satisfactory execution.

6. JURISDICTION

6.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except where any contract is made in Scotland or the Republic of Ireland, in which case it will be governed by Scottish or Irish law as applicable..
