Recalculating . . .: The Funny Side of Travel
Recalculating . . .: The Funny Side of Travel
Price: £2.18

4.0 out of 5 stars A whimsical read, 7 Aug. 2014
This is a gently humorous and whimsical look at modern travel. James Clarke is clearly an ardent traveller who takes great delight in the absurdity of international travel and the bizarre things that everyone of us who has ever flown has experienced. His flights of fancy appeal to me as I ponder the madness of sitting in a great big heavy vehicle that by some miracle becomes airborne and gets me halfway round the world in a matter of hours.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read and practical guide to resilience, 1 Jun. 2013
Resilience is a key life skill and so essential to prevent life's hiccoughs spiraling into life's crises. Liggy's book is a great introduction to understanding more about resilience and creating the conditions for personal resilience, with practical hints and tips for those tricky times. It's a 'dippy' book and great to have on the shelf when you need a bit of back up for those difficult moments of change and uncertainty.

5.0 out of 5 stars An inspiration for life, 15 Mar. 2013
Liggy's book is a great resource for dipping into for the inspirational quotes and stories for the challenging times as well as how to make the good stuff better. I picked up her book this morning and came across a story of a boy and a butterfly, the life lesson inherent in this simple story of change and appropriate effort to emerge from a chrysalis was very moving. It helped me to deepen my appreciation of engaging with the profound upheaval in my own life journey in a positive way.

5.0 out of 5 stars A rapid grand tour of living a great life, 29 Mar. 2011
This review is from: The Happy Handbook (Paperback)
The Handbook is a great introduction and reference material for anyone who is wondering about what they can do to improve their life, and is bewildered by the number of 'sort your life out' books that populate the self-help and personal development sections of bookshops. The authoress has brought together all kinds of elements that enable personal development, particularly health and wellbeing, in a concise way, and provides the foundation for us all to live our lives well. As much as anything this is a resource book and for each section, she provides excellent references for music, films and books that can help us be uplifted. Liggy Webb provides such practical guidance on things as simple as drinking water that can enable a happier, healthier life. I think this is key to the joy of her book, simplicity.
