Not the most amazing read, 14 Jan 2012
The story is about Paul's battle in life trying to better himself after his harrowing childhood in a perverse childrens home in London. This he obviously does and the story as a whole could be an interesting read but the repetitive chapters throughout the book, especially in the middle section where he is for the most part a doorman in the clubs of London make the book a tedious read.
Read the book if you are interested in the darker side of London nightlife during the last few decades but if you have chosen this book to give you an insight in to the abusive traits of the carers we have in the past put our trust in and the consequential fight for the system to be overhauled and strictly vetted then forget it. The book mainly concentrates on Paul's achievements in the boxing ring and the how he deals with the violence encountered along the way.
