Sennheiser PC 166 USB Headset
Sennheiser PC 166 USB Headset

4.0 out of 5 stars great quality usb and analogue headset, 22 April 2013
Had this headset for a number of months now and the quality is excellent as you would expect from Sennheiser.
I bought this for Skype as I was advised to get a USB headset which comes with its own sound card in the USB adaptor.
This means the sound is high quality even if you have a poor sound card on a budget laptop for example. Also some computers
have no sound card or only an unpowered linein such as with the Mac Mini so you would need a powered mic and the usb solves that issue.
You can unplug the usb adaptor if you prefer to use the headset's mini phono jacks or your computer has no usb available. This offers flexibility
but means it is possible to lose the adaptor which is just a usb plug with two wires/minijacks attached which can be annoying 5 minutes
before an important Skype call.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute cheap protective iPod case., 24 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this to protect daughter's iPod and to tell it apart from her brother's. Gel case with slightly raised rim around the screen provides protection from scratches and light drops. Less slippy that iPod alone but smooth, had holes for carrying loop which I did not attach. Bargain price much lower than in shops. Daughter loves colour son hates it so perfect!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap,rugged stylish iPod case, 24 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this to protect my son's iPod. Provides a Rugged non slip protective cover. He really likes the tire track pattern. Prices for covers in Apple stores and phone shops can be 10,15 even 20 pounds so this is great value. Even postage was free for such a cheap item. No brainer bargain.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sort of works, 11 Dec. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have been able to get photos from an sd card onto my iPad. The iPad complains and says the device is not supported though. I had hoped it might provide general USB access but I have only been able to access photos so far. Ok but not great.

5.0 out of 5 stars good battery works in sony why buy more expensive brand?, 22 Mar. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have a Sony HX5 which is a great compact with wide/zoom lens and hd video capability. It is not so bad on battery but if I do alot of video I like to have a spare battery just in case. This battery works fine and is cheaper than the branded one. Thanks to Sony in a way for not making some electronic own brand battery which cant be replaced like some other camera manufacturers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great introduction to space for kids - attractive and well written., 22 Mar. 2011
This is a great introduction to space and astronomy for children. It is visually very attractive with many stunning images but its real strength is how well thought out and good its content is scientifically. I had wrongly assumed that the DK series was the kind of eye candy you see piled up in bargain book stores with shallow poor content but this is not true in this case. The author Peter Bond is apparently a space journalist and fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and British Interplanetary Society and this expertise certainly shows. The book has really broad and up to date coverage of many topics including the big bang, our place in the universe, the life cycle of stars, black holes, the earth moon and solar system. The other theme is humans and space from early ideas, telescopes, famous discoveries and space missions and a section on how to start star gazing yourself. Content comes in well defined blocks of 2 to 4 pages with a mixture of great pictures and short paragraphs which are quickly and easily digested by those with short attention spans. This would be suitable for children of a wide range from a bright self reading 9 year old like mine right through the teenage years. A great book to have in your kids bedroom which they will dip into again and again over the years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing for the price, 25 April 2010
This is an excellent keyboard for the money. You get the same graded hammer keyboard (treble lighter to touch than bass keys) as the yp140 but much more besides. I really love the grand piano sounds which I use most of the time. It is true there are a huge number of voices (503) some of which are useful such as organs, electric pianos and most instruments you can think of including percussion. They dont take up space as they are input by keyboard and a wheel similar to an ipod - very simple.
Sound is ok through the speakers but great through a good pair of earphones - I am not aware of any set up issue with the headphones just plug and go but a bit of a silly position for the jack at the back rather than under the keyboard at the front. I also like the learning function so you can learn to play left/right hand with the piano waiting for you to play correctly or keep up with the tempo but the screen is small but ok. You can also connect a PC to download tunes from the internet and to help provide a further large learning screen to that on the piano. There are some crazy things like sound effects and playing assistants that let you play even if you hit wrong notes but this doesnt make this a gimmick product. This is a good value keyboard with great basic piano sound, sustain pedal and a weighted touch sensitive keyboard in a modern design. I bought this to get back into playing and to interest my kids in music and as such it fits that bill perfectly.

3.0 out of 5 stars I like this but mine had a quality problem, 9 Mar. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a good concept but I had a quality issue with mine.
It fits the Nokia E63 with an internal plastic cradle that holds the phone firmly on both sides. When open the wallet leaves the bottom of the phone accessable for charging, the top accessible for headphones and there is a gap in the cradle to access the mini usb port. There is also a rectagular hole in the back of the wallet for the camera, flash and torchlight. You have to remove it from the cradle for the micro sdhc memory card or battery/sim access. Obviously you use the phone still attached to the wallet. There is a tab with magnetic catch which has a nice action and is fast to open and close. As with all magnets you may want to be careful around tickets or credit cards. This tab/catch was not properly stitched in on mine and so after a few days the circular magnet fell out.
I fixed it with a dab of super glue as I couldn't be bothered returning such a cheap item - it works fine now and looks good.

3.0 out of 5 stars pretty good with some annoy issues, 9 Mar. 2010
I like this phone. It is good for email. Took a couple of day to get use to keyboard but I like it now. It comes with several apps like pdf reader, youtube and ovi maps etc. It doesnt have gps but I got the nokia gps bluetooth below £20 which was much cheaper than going to the E72 and more accurate and smoother than iphone which I use at work. It is never going to have the browse experience of the iphone but it is still good. There are free apps like snaptu that bundle most popular apps and is great for twitter, facebook, weather, news etc. Opera has another good browser but didnt seem to allow access to special characters menu. I heard ovimaps is free which it is but any form of navigation requires an expensive licence. I use Google maps which works well on this phone too and gives routes graphically which I just drive or work along with the phone set to 'my location' which is fine.

I have the email working and am sure it is usually smooth but I had a few hiccups as my email account required port settings that didnt seem to pop up automatically but had to install and then go in and fix the settings.I also get the email setup going off on bootup of which there is a thread on Nokia which seems to be about not typing "yes" to disabling the setup at the end of the process after which it seems you are stuck . The youtube app in the media folder works ok but doesnt allow sign in to a youtube account. Using youtube with a browser seems to fire up real player which doesnt work - I tried setting realplayer to no proxy with no results

That all sounds a bit negative but it is a neat phone that does the 90% of phone, email, calendar and social networks well.
