Wanted to protect my Macbook pro from dirt and dust, and this does the job. Fits perfectly, looks stylish and the apple still glows brightly through it. The recommended cover for your macbook.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just not for me...., 9 Nov 2012

I'm probably gonna irk a few fans here, but hey, I'm giving my honest opinion. I loved the new movie and had seen that the Dredd comics appeared highly on lists of the best graphic novels so I went for it. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The stories seemed very juvenile and lackluster. Maybe I was expecting too much? I wasn't taken with the black and white artwork either. When the story about singing heads that are plants, and the crime ring that dealt in rare comics books (that turned out to be 2000AD comics) came around I had enough. Could have been tongue-in-cheek but it just didn't feel right. The book just didn't stimulate me with its bland artwork and poor storytelling. I got about halfway through and had to stop.

The only highlight was the robot rebellion story. Most of the review here are from committed Dredd fans so I wanted to express the opinion of someone who has never read Dredd before, and unfortunately, probably won't again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heart-warming movie, 2 Nov 2012

A beautiful movie, well put together. A film which doesn't go over the top with its theme of cancer, just kind of gently move along with a a superb performance by the leads. I'd say it leans more to the drama than comedy side, but does have its momements with its portrayal of the awkwardness of natural life. Sometimes the little things are better and this little movie certainly beats others of its kind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome to the Madhouse, 26 Feb 2012

Wow, to me this was a fantastic story. It centres around the 'life' of Sato, a reclusive young shut-in with a prodigious pornography collection and an assortment of advice dispensing household appliances. (My fave was the lisping fridge) and mystery girl Misaki who attempts to cure him of his intense social anxiety.

The storyline is very well written and frighteningly realistic (for an anime of course), as Sato attempts to create a hentai game with his geeky neighbour. At first, the show can seem a little anarchic, but ater finishing the third episode I was fully drawn into the show and its uncompromising view on the unsavory aspects of collecting and gaming. There is little light in this show, and things always seem to get worse.

The characters are rounded, the voice dubs are well done (haven't seen the subbed version yet), and the soundtrack is top notch. The only fault I found was that the animation was slightly lackluster, but they weren't terrible.

Four discs, no special features. The show has some language, partial nudity and deals with suicide themes. Overall, I highly recommend this series.
