5.0 out of 5 stars Great princess dress!, 29 Dec. 2012
This dress is really great - bought it for my 3 year old who is completely mad about princesses and ever since she opened the present, she has worn it every day!

Someone mentioned earlier that this is not exactly like the dresses in the Disney store and this is true but this is the reason I like it...it is thinner, much less "pouffy" and much lighter so it is easier to put on and to wear, easier to store away too-I actually prefer this to the Disney store ones and would buy another one, no hesitation ( though if pouffy is what you are after, this may not be for you).

4.0 out of 5 stars Engrossing read, 7 May 2012
I would consider this book a "quiet" book - it won't have your pulse racing nor have you turning the pages in a frenzy but it is a very interesting, thoroughly engrossing book. The narrative is gentle and easy to read and you quickly become immersed in the life of Madame Wu. It's also a wonderful insight into the culture and attitudes of China at the time. Madam Wu's initial action appears odd to us now but to see the consequences of it unfold and how her thinking changes is fascinating - would thoroughly recommend this book, a lovely, leisurely read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect bedtime book, 2 Nov. 2011
This review is from: Zzzzz (Paperback)
Bought this book as was needing new material to read to my 18 month old before bed-this is great! Very calming and simple prose, lovely illustrations in relaxing tones. There is not much writing so older children may find it too simple but fine up to 2. Good buy!

4.0 out of 5 stars convenient and quick, 1 July 2010
i bought this steriliser before reading the reviews on this site so when i looked it up, was very worried! however, have been using it for 3 months now and i can say that, so far, there have been no problems with it. i have found it convenient and quick, and as it is fairly streamlined, it fits well on my kitchen work top.
yes, water collects at the bottom, but it only takes 5 seconds to unplug the device and empty it.
the only thing i would mention is that i am using it only once daily as i am breastfeeding and only use it after giving a bottle of expressed milk so i don't have experience of how it would cope with more regular sterilising but for my purposes, it is perfect (and a great price too as mothercare often have sales with it)

Pocket Posh Word Roundup 2: Bk. 2 (Puzzle Book)
Pocket Posh Word Roundup 2: Bk. 2 (Puzzle Book)
by The Puzzle Society
Edition: Paperback
Price: £5.99

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant little brain book, 29 Jun. 2010
Small and compact (and with a really cool cover to boot), this book is great to take with you in a bag to while away those boring minutes and hours on trains, planes and automobiles. As aforementioned, it beats regular wordsearches in that clues are given to the words in the grid, but not the actual answer, so it tests knowledge as well as spotting the word - great buy!

4.0 out of 5 stars funny and truthful..definitely worth reading, 29 Jun. 2010
This review is from: Sick Notes (Paperback)
Being a GP myself, I have to admit I can completely identify with most of the sentiments written by TC. It is a funny and insightful look at the joys and frustrations of modern-day General Practice - a good mix of anecdotes intermingled with explanations of what is currently going on in the politics of Primary Care. Not everyone will like this book as it is a very honest account of how GPs feel day to day but I would say it is well worth reading, if only so people can see what Primary Care is about and what we have to deal with - the good and the bad.
The only gripe is that in some places, there may have been too much emphasis on having a moan, but hey - some days are like that...
