Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I love Sherlock and was really pleased to get it at a great price, unfortunately this copy doesn't have the rights properly and some of the music is missing. This is slightly annoying when it comes opening titles and the credits, but when it comes to scenes such as the party near the end, (where all you can hear are some of the guests singing along) it really ruins the rest of the episode.

Amazon don't offer this if you don't properly own the rights to sell

If you're thinking of buying it my advice is don't bother, get the DVD or blu ray and enjoy it properly

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and simple, 29 April 2013
A good, cheap and simple DVD player. And yes, it can be made multi-region, did a simple search on google and found straight away.

Having seen the other reviews on this, I thought that a couple might have been a little unfair, and so wanted to give a different viewpoint on it.

OK, it takes a while to put this together and in parts can be very fiddly, however with help (and patience) children CAN make this. I bought a few and made them with a group of 5 children aged between 7 and 10 and all of them managed it fine. They enjoyed making the cars and once they were finished they were delighted with their work.

A couple of things to be careful of, it is vital that you use decent batteries (duracell or such like) if you use cheap batteries it will not work. You also need to be careful that once it is made that the contacts and the radio control part are connecting or, again, it will not work. But as long as you understand basic electronics you should have no problems.

One final warning the car only goes forwards and backwards, it cannot turn left or right. However as a project for children to do with a parent (or other adult) this is good and the sense of achievement and satisfaction once it is finished and they can see it working is great.

All in all there are a couple of minor issues with it, however as long as you know electronics and model building and you're prepared to put the effort into it, then it's definitely worth giving a try.
