5.0 out of 5 stars This is the ultimate live experience, 1 Nov 2007
This review is from: Alive 2007 (Audio CD)
I was lucky enough to see these guys live this year at the O2 Wireless Festival in London and they rocked. This is the CD of that perfromance.

The French duo mix their usual beats together and in doing so make some memorable moments. If you are a Daft Punk fan then this is for you as there are tracks from all 3 of the albums.

If you get a chance to see these guys live do it. If not then get this CD!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Suprisingly Good - And this is from a Bond hater!, 1 Dec 2006
This film actually rocks. As much as it hurts me to say so, as I can't usually stand Bond!

From the start to the end the action sequences are great and for some reason Daniel Craig really works as Bond. Gone are the days of the cheesy lines and the tongue in cheek approach! This time Bond has attitude and a more action orientated approach!

Top marks on this one! Let there be more Bond films like this!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Stroke Of Genius, 14 Dec 2005
Anyone who loves the stand-up of Peter Kay and classic comedy like Phoenix Nights will absolutely love this CD.
The compilation includes the theme to Phoenix Nights, Max & Paddy and snippets of Kay's live stuff. All are fused together with songs from Phoenix Nights, That Peter Kay Thing and Max & Paddy.
This Cd truly showcases what a talent Mr Kay has. I cannot wait for the sequel to this CD and also for season 3 of Phoenix Nights!
This CD rocks....

5.0 out of 5 stars Watch Out Daft Punk, 14 Nov 2005
This review is from: Will See You Now (Audio CD)
A mixture of Daft Punk, Royksopp, Groove Armada and Goldfrapp, Cagedbaby are the new kids on the block to this genre of music. But after listening to this album it feels like they have been around for ages.
The electro synth on this album has tinges of the French and the whole ensemble fuses together to give you a smoothly produced album.
After the poor last release by Daft Punk we may well be ablut to see new kings of the genre crowned. In my opinion these are light years better than Royksopp and Groove Armada, and are also serious contenders to beat the currently "in" Goldfrapp.
You don't believe the hype? well you will do after listening to this album. A sure fire hit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sublime And Relaxed.. But Sheer Brilliance!!, 14 Nov 2005
This review is from: Empty Streets (Audio CD)
Hed Kandi have come up top trumps again by getting this act on their label.
Late Night Alumni's "Empty Streets" takes you through a whistle stop journey of chilled beats and haunting lyrics that would fit in at any of the chill out bars in Ibiza.
The album fuses chilled music worthy of any of the top bars with the haunting voice of Becky Jean Williams to produce what is an amazing album. each track has it's own special quality and no two tracks sound a like.
As a debut album you could not ask for more. I just hope that they continue to produce more quality albums like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars At Last The Collection Is Complete!, 2 Aug 2005
At last all 7 Police Academy films are together in one collection:
Police Academy (1984) - It was 2o years ago that the first film was released in what would be a very popular series. The entire film is here with a behind the scenes "Where are they now" extra added to the disk (boy have some of them aged a bit!!!).
If you have never seen this film then you must watch it. Posibly one of the funniest films of the 80's bar none. Join Mahoney, Jones, Tackleberry, Hightower in a laugh a minute movie.
Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment (1985) - The recruits are let loose on the streets of America with hilarious results as they try to stop a gang led by Zed from causing havoc. We are also introduced to Mowser and Proctor, two who play pivital parts in the series. The disc also includes a behinds the scenes making over section.
Police Academy 3: Back in Training (1986) - Commandant Lassard's academy is under threat from Mowser's when it is declared only one academy can remain open. This means action is needed. Lasard calls on mahoney, Jones, Hightower and co to help keep the academy open by training recruits like Zed, who was the baddy in the last film. The results are hilarious. Again this includes a behind the scenes guide.
Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol (1987) - Lasard's plan is to start a C.O.P plan (Citizens on Patrol). To do this he enrols Mahoney and the gang to train the recruits whilst Harris and Proctor try their hardest to stop the scheme going ahead. Again this includes a behind the scenes guide.
Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach (1988) - Commandant Lassard has passed the retirement age and therefore must retire. In his honour it is decided that he will be honoured at a policeman's ball in Miami. Lassard takes his favourite staff, plus Harris & Proctor with him. However, things are not made easy as a Diamond thief gang also go to the same resort and a bag swap leads to loads of laughs. Again this includes a behind the scenes guide.
Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989) - A gang are running wild on the streets and seem to be avoiding capture. Everytime the police get near the gang seem to know what is going on. Is there a mole? It is upto our favourite police officer's to solve the crime and stop the gang. Again this includes a behind the scenes guide.
Police Academy: Mission to Moscow (1994) - Lassard takes a crew of officers to Russia. This is the start of the laughs as Lassard is "Kidnapped" by the Russian Mafia (well he get's the wrong taxi and ends up in a Russian Families house!). Although not as good as the originals this will still have you in stitches. Again this includes a behind the scenes guide.
If you have ever seen the Police Academy series then you know that this is a must. If not then buy it as I think you will be pleasantly suprised.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply A Classic!!!!!, 11 Feb 2002
This review is from: Fletch [DVD] (DVD)
This film is great. Checvy Chase staring as a reporter who stumbles onto soemthing that is more than expected. The many disguises Chase uses helps him to carefully unravel the case and come out tops in the end.
This is a typical 80's movie. A great supporting soundtrack (by Harold Faltmeyer of Axel F fame) helps to set the tone in this fast pace action comedy.
If you are a fan of Checy Chase or of great comedies then this is a must for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Chill Out Album of 2001!, 14 Jan 2002
This review is from: Melody A.M. (Audio CD)
When I first heard this album I was sceptical but ever since hearing it it has been playing on my walkman. In the year of the Chill Out Album it is refreshing to see some new chill out tunes. Play this album from start to beginning and I guarantee you will be totally refreshed.
The hauting tones of Eple are just great. The only problem is it is too short.
All in all I would say this is THE chill out album of 2001. If you ain't got it yet then BUY IT NOW!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Album Just Got Better!!!!!, 31 Oct 2001
This review is from: Thriller (Audio CD)
WOW! That is all I can say about this release. Just when you thought that Thriller could not get any better then the special edition version comes along with extra tracks and interviews.
If you do not own this album in any form then buy it. If you have old versions buy this one too. This helps to make an all time classic even better! Come to think of it if you do not already own Thriller then why not????
A pure example of classic Jackson at his very best. Love him or hate him I bet you dance to him at parties so live in the memory of all the parties always with this album.
A MUST!!!!!!
