As a family law practitioner I have used this invaluable guide for many years. The 10th edition continues to provide lucid, user friendly and accessible content, enabling the reader to find answers to practical issues fast. Recommended for the student, those operating in the sphere of family law, or indeed anyone who wants to become acquainted with this dynamic field of the law.

I can review this book partly by reference to another "review" on this site: "Who does this man think he is?" by "The Seller".

Well, Mr Seller, this man, the late Roger Ebert, is, or was, until his recent death, a world renowned Pulitzer Prize winning film critic, with over thirty years experience, as well as being a successful movie screenwriter to boot. So I think you'll have to agree his opinion is perhaps worthwhile! I suggest you check your facts before unsuccessfully attempting to criticise a critic. Ebert's reviews were always by any standards balanced, objective and expressed with elegance and wit, as they are here. He didn't bow to fashions or gimmicks in cinema, and he never threatened to lose his love of film.

This book is a fun, collection of his more colourful remarks and I recommend it. He was often far more entertaining than many of the films he reviewed!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant read! - by Coolhandlee, 17 Aug. 2013

How can a life story full of such drama and conflict cost £1 on kindle!! It's ridiculous!
Mike Nicholson is nothing short of a hero (no doubt he won't agree) yet his professional life can be bought for so much less than the pathetic, useless "celebrity" profiles published today.
I grew up watching the incisive reports of this dedicated journalist from Vietnam onward, and he really is one of my hero's! Not only a true journalist, but a man with true humanity and independence, as he demonstrated with Natasha in Sarajevo. His regular, compelling, contributions on TV are sadly missed.
I hope you read this Mike and I salute you!
A highly recommended read! All life is here!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Real Deal! by Coolhandlee, 27 July 2013
The only timepiece certified fit for spaceflight status above all the leading brands Nasa evaluated in the 1960's when mission planning for Gemini and Apollo. Its sole survival of exhaustive and rigorous testing led it to to become the legend it remains; an icon of american spaceflight and the first watch worn on the moon (per Aldrin - Armstrong left his in the LM for procedural reasons). No more need be said: this watch, by its deeds, has said it all!

And today, 40 years later, it remains the watch worn by US astronauts in space............!

But let's talk day to day. A Horologist (a Watchmaker/Repairer: I know, I didn't know what it meant either!) once told me Omega's tolerances meant they were the best watch to work with. Omega is a wonderful watchmaker. I have a Speedmaster and despite all the digital watches available, it's incredibly accurate and I can't distinguish between the two. I love the tick of a "real" watch and its odd to realise that in the past all watches were made this way, but not quite as good!! I think its undeniable the Speedmaster is frankly out of this world and I recommend its look, feel and incredible workmanship!! If you want a watch for all time (or for life) this is the one!
