Compliments to the chef!, 23 April 2009
Seldom do you come across such recipes - one's that take your hand and gently guide you to the end point where awaits something invariably mouth watering! How she keeps them so short & yet so precise is a mystery to me!
This book is written with love & I adore it! The vast range is amazing - from jams, to soups, to desserts, to each & every stew & mixed rice dish.
There are also paragraphs here, there and everywhere about the dishes in question - a real treat, meandering through history & the varying provinces with their influences & local produce.
I recommend this book to every Iranian I know - especially those who dream of our food & yet who have a greater grasp of English than they do of Farsi. For the masters of the Persian tongue though, you too will find gems in here that not even your own granny knows about!
Try it - you won't regret it!
