Deeply disappointing - Buy a magnifying glass, 3 Mar 2013
It's not that this book is poorly researched, or inadequately illustrated. It's not that it is too specialised, or written in inaccessibly highbrow language. The problem is more fundamental than that. This book, put simply, is absurdly small. It is in fact only a few inches high. Never before has an architecture book been so small. I have reasonably perfect vision but such is the scale of the book, I can barely see the images or read the text.
The book is so miniature that it appears to have been difficult to print. I would advise all buyers, unless they like their books to be little bigger than a beermat or have great need for a distinctly pocket sized Archigram text for all those moments one finds oneself in when an immediate knowledge of Archigram will avert calamity, to not buy this book and instead buy something that is in fact the scale of... a book.
This is a laughably woeful publishing catastrophe, though no doubt somewhere in the publishing world someone thought this would best represent Archigram's own pipe dreams.
