A disappointing sequel, 21 Sept. 2001
With the Texas Chainsaw Massacre being on of my favourite horror films, I was quite eager to see what the sequel had in store.
The fact that the film is more recent, the 'modern' look just didn't do it justice as the film was shot differently and the beginning reminded me of the likes of 'Nightmare of Elm Street' and 'Friday 13th' with a bunch of daft teenagers getting lost in the woods. As the film goes on, it becomes increasingly stupid - the new characters playing the 'Leatherface' family were simply not believable! By the finish, everything was so over the top that I couldn't understand the ending either.
The sad thing with this film was that it seemed that very poor humour had been injected into it. The only problem here was that I was laughing at it, not with it!
