5.0 out of 5 stars perfection, 4 July 2005

I very rarely cry at films, albeit 'The Green Mile', but this one got me in floods. My Mum and I were wrestling each other for tissues.
A beautiful, gorgeous film. The actors are phenomenal in setting the emotions and the atmosphere of the film. The most romantic film i've ever seen; it manages to do that extremely rare thing, ie. convey a love story without a big side order of cheese.
This is the kind of film that leaves you thinking well after the end credits roll.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best film EVER, 4 July 2005
I dont really know how to sum up a film which has been my favourite since i was nine and continues to be so. it's just fantabulous, i even have the soundtrack.
Although with age i found it more disturbing to watch, but that has much to do with the tightness of David Bowie's leggings!!
This film is just a great family film, the kind you get out again and again and never tire of. Plus the soundtracks amazing. Do not miss out-BUY IT!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Like Stand by Me...but better, 4 July 2005
This review is from: Now And Then [DVD] [1996] (DVD)
Often hailed as the girl version of Stand by Me, I have to say it lives up to it and more, and not just because I am a girl! Its the kind of film that makes you feel all warm and tingly inside. The four young friends are fantastic in the 'then' part of the film and even though I didn't grow up in suburban America with white picket fences and bikes with baskets on the front, there is so much to relate to. The scene where Teeny does a quiz on the girls from Cosmo always makes me chuckle. If you haven't seen this film, there's no excuse so grab some of your girly friends round and some chocolate and get stuck into this fantastic, funny and heartwarming classic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Season Yet!!, 2 July 2005
After watching the series 1 episode 'Stray', I soon was gripped into the whole Smallville theme. Having not been Superman fan (Except the Terri Hatcher Superman Programme). Smallville introduced me to the Christopher Reeves Superman films. Season 1 of Smallville was good, Season 2 was even better and Season 3 was the best yet. The season's best episodes being 'Shattered' and 'Asylum'. Michael Rosenbaum is the best character in the programme as Lex Luthor. John Glovers Lionell Luthor is also great. Love all the characters, The storylines are great and hope the show can get even better with Season 4 also being top class. Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk make a very good couple, but knowing that Clark ends up with Lois makes the scenes with the characters good viewing. Smallville also has good guest stars like 'Michael Mckean', 'Christopher Reeves', 'Sarah Carter', 'Jesse Metcalfe' and 'Ian Sommenhalder'. Do not know why they need to have so many Final Destination 2 actors in the series.
Great Stuff, Hope Season 5 is even better!!.

5.0 out of 5 stars a risk worth taking, 30 Jun. 2005
This review is from: Back To Bedlam (Audio CD)
i bought this album on a whim, after hearing 'beautiful' on the radio a couple of times and it hasn't been out of my cd player since. this album is fantastic. he's got a beautiful voice and the lyrics are bewitching. my favourites are 'so long jimmy', 'out of my mind' and 'wisemen' but each and every track could be a single, there's not a filler in sight.
the only flaw is that there's only 10 songs on the album. hurry up with the next one James!!
