This review is from: Eames (Paperback)
Great book, lovely images from the fifties era. Colourful, expressive, vibrant, but was hoping for more info and images of the Eames fabric and pattern. It's a thinner, smaller book than I had imagined. Will be on the look out for a bigger volume next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Miroslav Sasek Strikes again, 9 Oct 2013
Who wouldn't fall for these amazing illustrations. Sasek is amongst my favourite of illustrators who I'll discuss from time to time on my site [...] Check this book out if you know Munich or would like to know it better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vampires Abound, 15 Jan 2010
Vampires in modern day society once again. This is an easy going series which is fun to watch but perhaps doesn't compare with the likes of True Blood in it's use of special effects. The characters are believable and there is depth to them and interest in their development also. Pity it never made it to series two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Miroslav Sasek, 31 Aug 2009
Inspiring as ever, I bought this as a joke present for a friend after the 40 yr celebrations of the moon landing, but soon discovered it was a rare gem. Mr Sasek is a beautiful illustrator with a keen eye for detail and a quirky and jovial way of telling the story of the topic in hand. He also covered many countries in his famous 'This is...' series, with Britain, New York, Paris and Ireland being a few of the areas covered in the series. He captures the essence of those countries and all their unusual elements and famous landmarks in his fun illustrations. I'd recommend any of his books, great for kids and adults alike.
