Just love the song, could listen to it over and over, typical Seal, not as good as his earlier stuff but would still buy the CD anyway.

Magician's End (The Chaoswar Saga, Book 3) (Riftwar 4)
Magician's End (The Chaoswar Saga, Book 3) (Riftwar 4)
by Raymond E. Feist
Edition: Hardcover

3.0 out of 5 stars Law of diminishing returns!, 2 July 2013
I first read Magician in 1987 and have faithfully purchased every book Mr Feist has written. Whilst 'Magician' was fabulous and a fresh approach to the fantasy genre with worthy sequels in 'Silverthorne' and 'A darkness at Sethanon' it did seem that as time went by and the books kept coming the content and story lines became stretched and tired eventually arriving at 'magician's end' which is, to be totally honest not even a shadow of the original 'Magician'. I think Mr Feist got a bit tired with Midkemia himself but the books kept selling so he kept writing. Time for something new.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some more of this series would be nice!, 30 Mar 2011
What a pity that the BBC decided to cancel this show. Wonderful performances from the cast especially the the eldest sister, she was wonderful. Here is a series that shows how Britain really was in the early 20th century, ignorance, hypocrisy, hard lives for the poor and the absolute control held by the wealthy. Just for the interplay between the members of the Moss family made this thoroughly enjoyable to watch but the added historical content was a 'Cherry on top' for me, if you enjoy period drama's then you will really like this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Appeals as music should., 11 Mar 2011
Opinions vary about this album and how it follows a successful formula based upon numerous influences, U2 etc and the BBC review even went as far as to describe the track 'Secrets' as sounding like an advertisement for a new car! Well as we all know, we are entitled to an opinion but i've always thought that 'good' music is what makes us feel good, gets our feet tapping and prompts us to sing along with a song. 'Waking up' by One Republic does all of these things for me, i loved it. I don't pretend to be a musical expert but i would suggest that it would be a valued addition to anybodies collection. Ok, there are some weak tracks as you will find on any CD, the title song does go on a bit too long but you can forgive that when you hear 'All the right moves', 'Secrets','Made for you' and my personal favorite 'Good life'. Give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars A con!, 4 Feb 2010
Apart from a few seconds of CGI and a few new scenes to connect the dots so to speak this film is more or less a re-run of scenes from the previous series. It is supposed to give more explanation as to why the Cylons Attacked the colonies, the reasons and theory behind their choices. It is extremely disappointing and to my mind a wasted purchase. Die hard fans of the show will no doubt buy it to complete a collection but i regret doing so.
As a prequel that is supposed to fill in some gaps, it is pointless and i think the producers were trying to milk the fans with this sub standard product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bankrupt franchise! not worth the single star!, 9 Sep 2008
I enjoyed about 30 seconds of this movie, we get to see a glimpse of the 'Predator' home world and then for the rest of the movie i kept looking at the clock. Produced for teenagers or whomever, it makes no difference, it is a terrible movie and i'm reminded of the 'Billy the kid v Dracula movie from the 50's, they have something in common, they are both crap! Don't watch it, don't think of renting it because all you are doing is putting more money in to the pockets of the thieves that made this garbage. Thank you very much.....

4.0 out of 5 stars Little grey men at their best!, 13 Sep 2007
From the opening sequence where BF109E's were attacking B-17G'S!!!!! I was hooked, the inclusion of known historical facts with a bit of artistic license made this series very compelling. Some purists might think this series was utter nonsense but just think about how we like to be entertained! All of our fears about 'life out there' mixed with a healthy dose of fact and fiction combine to produce a thoroughly entertaining Sci-fi product. We hate some of the characters and love some of the others and all those questions we ever had are answered in a small measure and leave us wanting more. I think Dakota Fanning is an affected adolescent but you have to admire her acting skills and her narrative from the first installment is very, very endearing, i wanted to see the face behind the voice and when she did appear i was not disappointed. Watch this series and take it for what it is, entertainment, Steven Spielberg style, you won't regret it.....
