4.0 out of 5 stars Good product excellent price, 2 Jan 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Not being an expert in ladies cosmetics I asked my wife to review this item. Her verdict was that it was easy to apply, not oily and had good coverage when applied with fingertips. She particularly liked the small size of the 1" x 2" jar which apparently is ideal for a small evening bag. She also liked the price which is about one-third of what she usually pays.

3.0 out of 5 stars A pretty average haircare product, 26 Dec 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Not really much you can say about the shampoo/conditioner except that it does what it is supposed to do. The hair styling half of the combo is useful for short uncomplicated styles but if you are looking for something to firmly hold spikes or a messy bedhead style you will want the stronger hold provided by a clay or putty product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Functional but not pretty, 26 Dec 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
If you are looking for an ipad mini case that looks stylish and trendy and is pleasantly tactile then you will probably want to look elsewhere. On the other hand if you want a case that is hard-bodied, understated, practical and will protect your valuable piece of kit then this will fit the bill. The 3 position standing function is a useful feature. I always find cases for electronic devices to be unjustifiably over-priced but although not cheap this one is relatively competitively priced.

5.0 out of 5 stars A stylish cover and some very stylish recipes, 5 Dec 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
There is nothing not to like about this book, from the arty hardback cover, through the contents, to the very reasonable price. The styling of the book is aimed at men who like to cook. There are expert contributions from men who like to cook - Gordon Ramsey, Rick Stein and Raymond Blanc to name a few. The whole thing has been put together by Paul Henderson food and drink editor at GQ magazine and occasional contributor to the likes of the Daily Telegraph and The Guardian. The recipes are very creative and glamorous looking from breakfasts to boys night in type food. From michelin star style dinners to pub food favourites. From alfresco feasts to health conscious delights. From British classics to eastern joys. From beautiful starters to gorgeous desserts. There is even a cocktail section. The degree of difficulty varies from the relatively simple to the more time-consuming. The recipes however are easy to follow and the photographs are inspiring. A great gift for anyone who likes to cook -not just men.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good cleaning product from a trusted name., 30 Nov 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is an excellent, relatively low odour multi-surface cleaner. Particularly good for kitchen worktops, baby changing mats and other areas where you want a germ free environment but don't necessarily want the cloying odour of strong bleach or disinfectant but want a hint of a clean smell. It can also be used on a myriad of other surfaces around the home - laminate floors, computer screens, tiled surfaces etc. This bottle is 50% bigger than the usual 500ml version so lasts longer and represents good value. A recommended product for the hygiene conscious.

This review is from: Let Me Love You (MP3 Download)
Never heard of this chap before. He has a good voice and focuses on the American Songbook for his material. If you like Sinatra, Bennett , Damone etc I am sure that you will like him. Unfortunately the catalogue is limited.

Bexsimon Cast Iron Large Pestle and Mortar, Black
Bexsimon Cast Iron Large Pestle and Mortar, Black

5.0 out of 5 stars A great mortar and pestle that will last a lifetime., 24 Nov 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I have had mortars and pestles in the past which have been ineffective for a variety of reasons. Too light / too small / too shallow / too unstable etc. This product has none of those drawbacks. It is cast iron and very weighty. The pestle is beautifully shaped and sits snuggly in your hand. The mortar is wide and deep thereby avoiding the risk of spillage in use. There is really nothing else to say about the functionality of this product beyond saying that it does its intended job very effectively indeed. However, the added bonus is that it looks like a piece of modern sculpture when displayed on a shelf or kitchen work surface. It is not something you will want to hide out of sight in a cupboard.

Case Logic BEBP115 Backpack for 15.6 inch Laptop/Tablet
Case Logic BEBP115 Backpack for 15.6 inch Laptop/Tablet
Price: 52.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with this backpack, 24 Nov 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
From my perspective this an ideal backpack. It is designed primarily as a means of carrying a laptop and tablet plus associated paraphernalia but has enough pockets and space in its compact form to make an excellently organised flight cabin bag. The chest strap allows it to be sat safely on top of a trolley bag secured to the handle. The very effective padding on the back ensures comfort and it is arranged in such a way as to promote airflow between the bag and the wearer. The shoulder straps are broad and well padded - again ensuring comfort. The construction is light but robust offering more than adequate protection to valuable electronic equipment conrained within. Although one earlier reviewer had issues with the zips, they seem ok to me. I have had case logic products in the past for camera equipment and they have stood the test of time. I expect this case to be equally durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars An essential guide for the lover of world beers., 20 Nov 2013
This review is from: Pocket Beer Book 2014 (Hardcover)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
In these days of increasing numbers of craft beers finding their way onto the shelves of wine merchants, delis, pubs and supermarkets discovering new varieties which suit your palette can be a bit of a hit and miss affair. This book takes the element of chance out of the equation. It is a concise, informative guide which cuts to the chase without being long-winded or pretentious. It is small enough for a jacket pocket making it easy to take with you for reference purposes the next time you go beer hunting. The tasting notes will have you salivating and anticipating your next purchase with bated breath. If you like trying new beers this book is for you.

Price: 24.80

5.0 out of 5 stars The 'go to' book for non-expert wine lover, 20 Nov 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
What a bargain this book is. It is an informative, interesting, educational, pleasurable, unpretentious, beautifully illustrated 400 page tome. It is full of essential facts about the wine regions in all of the significant wine producing countriess of the world and many of the smaller less well known ones too. The descriptions of the various wines and tasting notes are a great guide which allows you to get to know old favourites better and introduces you to new varieties destined to become essential additions to your wine cellar. The tasting notes are also jargon free which is a plus for someone like me who finds wine bores full of pretentious verbal diarrhoea extremely irritating. There are lovely maps and photographs which are an added bonus. If you enjoy wine and would like to discover more this book is for you.
