5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, another excellent book by KC, 31 Aug. 2012
If you guys have not heard of KC or read any of her books, then I feel really sorry for you, you don't know what you are missing out on, so stop wasting time and get busy and get your hands on her books and the beauty is that you don't have to read them in particular sequence.

Once again KC delivers her best - everything you want in a book with a good strong storyline, well defined (and tormented) characters, fiesty females and some really hot love scenes.

What a fantastic read.

I just love the way KC protrays her male characters : well defined/fierce/loyal/passionate/mad and very very bad!

5.0 out of 5 stars Could not put this one down - fantastic..., 31 Aug. 2012
I just could not put this book down and thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I just loved Demon/Scabra Malkom Slaine.

Have you guys noticed how tormented KC's demon/vamps are until they find their fiesty female mate.

A very strong storyline and interesting secondary characters, who you know, will feature in their own story - can't wait.

It also has some very hot steamy sex scenes.

I also like the fact that KC writes lenghty books with numerous chapters.

Fab, Fab, Fab.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a superb find in the charity shop..., 31 Aug. 2012
I found this book in my local charity shop and I'm very glad I purchased it as before this I had not heard of HH.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. It had everythng one wants in a historical romace - likeable main and secondary characters, a really nasty villian, strong/gripping storyline with well defined characters and good dialogue. Oh, and the humour and those fight scenes where Eada grabs and slams Drago's head against the floor!

I can't wait to read other books by HH.

A very happy reader!

(LEGENDARY WARRIOR) BY Fletcher, Donna(Author)Mass Market Paperbound Feb-2004

Edition: Mass Market Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable read..., 31 Aug. 2012
Reena Cullen grew up listening to the tales of the one they call the 'Legend', a merciless warrior who is both feared and respected. So when her village is devasted by a cruel landlord, she knows in her heart the legend is the only one who can rescue her people, but the flesh and blood man is even more powerful and sensuous than the hero she imagined.

Magnus is fascinated by this petite bold beauty who has come to him for help. He cannot refuse her, for she has stirred fires within him as no woman before. Yet another reason impel him to keep the lady close - a secret that could threaten everything she loves. If she uncovers his dark mysteries, will Reena shun the handsome devil she has bargained with or will she surrender completely to a fierce and dangerous passion?

An enjoyable read with likeable main and secondary characters and the dog!

I would have liked Reena and Magnus much more if they had a firey/intense debates, but hey ho, still an enjoyable read.

I highly recommend the following books : Buccanner and San Franscio Surrender by DF which are absolutley fantastic and everything that one would wish in a historical romance book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Its ok, but not the best..., 31 Aug. 2012

Lisa Madison wants a husband and she has just the candidate in mind - Robert Langley.

Trouble is, the infuriating man insists on seeing her as an impish girl she once was, even as very other man in London has taken notice of her womanly charms. When her beauty lands her in danger, its Robert who comes to the rescue, only to announce his affections are not of the romantic kind.

Robert saw enough sorrow in his parents' union to know he wants nothing to do with marriage, which is exactly what he will be trapped into if he acts on his desire for the irksome siren...Lisa does what Robert least expect - gives up on him! As feigned indifference gives way, blistering passion burns at last, but just before the pair can succumb to hard-won bliss, an enemy with unfinished business lurks, threatening to destroy them both.

In my view its an ok read but certainly not the best by LS. I much prefer reading 'The Chase' by LS - now that certainly had me laughing out loud with an excellent story and fab characters.

This had the potential of being a great book with a good strong storyline, but it never materalised.

The heroine, Diana Covington, though stunning with red hair, was totally superficial and lacked passionate emotions/empathy, in fact she did not form any relationship/rapport with anyone, not even the nice affable ship doctor.

I like my heroines to be spirited, but Diana was a shrew and was mis-named, should have been 'Kate'. Having said that, I did so enjoy reading about the brawl in the tavern between Diana and the spanish whore Rosana - now that was a real cat fight... after that Diana did become more likeable person.

Oh, I also found the love scenes to be rather tame and could have been more passionate/lusty.

2.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable read, but..., 31 Aug. 2012
An enjoyable read, but could have been better with a stronger plot line and stronger characters. In essence, an amusing light and sweet tale about vamps and in this case also their extended sweet vamp family.

If you are interested in reading about vamps/demons et al then try out Kresley Cole - boy does she know how to write a good strong and interesting story with well defined characters and some really hot sexy scenes and her heroines know how to kick ass!

5.0 out of 5 stars Its Sick, Gory, Dark & Worse Of All It Will Put You Off..., 31 Aug. 2012
Well, what can I say about Flesh House. I've read all books by SM but found this particular book to be rather sick, gory, dark and worse of all, it will put you off meat forever and probably make you an vegetarian overnight!

No more liver & onion pies or meat pies - I don't think you will ever wish to visit a butcher's shop again, especially in Scotland!

What a fantastic read with very dark humour. Well done SM.

I must admit this is the first book I've read by CD and was not let down.

I found Sea Fires to be an enjoyable read. Its an amusing tale of a nice sweet quirky heroine, who is also extremely clever, being kidnapped by a pirate at the behest of her father.

I also liked the pirate crew and their reactions to the heroine's findings of germs!
