2.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Fun Italian Western, 2 May 2011
If you like "They Call Me Trinity" and its sequal and "My Name Is Nobody", then you will surely enjoy this 1968 Columbia release Spanish-Italian Western. The action starts from the end of the credits at the beginning to the end of the 98 mins movie. Never a dull moment. It has also some John Wayne ingredients in it, i.e. Saloon brawl and lots of fist-fights. A very enjoyable fun-filled western. Watch out for the sequal "Up The Macgregors"

5.0 out of 5 stars A Golden Oldie...the title song..., 20 Feb 2011
This review is from: North To Alaska [DVD] [1960] (DVD)
It is so refreshing to watch this rousing delightful western comedy again after having it stood on my DVD collection shelf for so many years. Can now really appreciate the fine performances of John Wayne, Stewart Granger, Capucine and teenage idol Fabian. (The other teenage idols John Wayne was promoting in his other movies at about the same time were Ricky Nelson in "Rio Bravo" and Frankie Avalone in "The Alamo"). Fabian was a very popular singer in the early sixties and he could act too as proven in this movie. This western comedy is full of fun and very entertaining. See the 'Duke' turns green with jealousy. See Fabian goes wild with puppy love. See how Capucine lands in Alaska and gets her man. DON'T MISS IT!.Five star for the movie and Five star for the title song too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ninety-three minutes is not enough, 8 Jan 2011
Nothing much can be written about this movie that have not already been written, and I totally agree with all the reviews except the one from D.Lazar. How could anyone don't enjoy this classic is beyound me. I own the VHS cassette, the Laser Disc and the DVD version. The sound on the LD version is much better with the Digital Dolby Surround Stereo system. I'm waiting for the Blue-ray with DTS version to come out. In the meantime I'm getting the soundtrack first. If you've not seen it yet, you're really missing a lot of good time. For those who've got the 5.1 widescreen version watch it again with the bass volume up and you'll find 93 minutes of this movie is surely not enough. Rock on (young and old alike) while we still can.

1.0 out of 5 stars most boring, 5 Jan 2011
This is the most overrated film by a lot of reviewers. I tried to watch this movie many many times to see why it is so highly rated. Each time halfway through it puts me to sleep. It's the most slow moving and boring movie I've ever seen. I forced myself once to watch it all so as to be among the intellectual. I don't see anything interesting about this movie. It's all about a computer, a huge block of stone and evolution of apes to mankind all jumbled up to creat confusion to your mind. One thing though it definately helps me to sleep.

5.0 out of 5 stars More of this type of comedy should be made......., 5 Jan 2011
This review is from: My Cousin Vinny [1992] [DVD] (DVD)
See other reviews for story line. I'm just reviewing the quality of the comedy. This movie deserves my 5 stars rating. Joe Pesci was great and Marisa Tomei rightfully deserved her Oscar for her performance in this movie. There is no "Jerry Lewis slap stick" here. It's a relieve. All comedy should be made this way. It's so funny I laughed until I cry. Believe me you will too. For those who have not seen it yet, do it now. View it at least twice and you'll appreciate more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Between fame and the ultimate sacrifice, 5 Jan 2011
How many of you remember the hit songs "Dominique" and "Brother John"? Well Both songs and many other delightful catchy tunes are in this 1966 warm and touching movie. Debbie Reynolds (at this time was at the peak of her career)plays a Belgian nun, Sister Ann, who goes around on her scooter with her guitar, helping poor folks of the community. Her singing consoles her in times of despair. She became an international success with the recording of "Dominique". She eventually has to choose between international fame or serving God in some remote country. This is a true story of Sister Ann. You shouldn't miss it if you love Debbie.

5.0 out of 5 stars You can't ask for anything more, 25 Dec 2010
This review is from: The Expendables [DVD] (DVD)
I saw this movie four times now and I still want to see again. When you have Stallone acting and directing more than ten other top class actors what could go wrong?. This action-thriller has got all the action, great acting, not much talking, lots of humour and great one-liner all the way, what more could you ask for except a sequel. Hope The Expendables 2 will come out soon. Buy this movie you will not regret it.
