5.0 out of 5 stars Tiny but effective, 31 May 2016

Like knitting with matchsticks, but so much easier than DPNs for a very small item.

3.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality but loved nonetheless, 15 April 2015

Went down well, but varying quality of moulding and painting, and one arrived with broken limbs which needed glueing in place.

5.0 out of 5 stars More build-it fun, 6 Jan. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought to add on to an existing starter set. The kids (7 and 4) love build-it as they can make inventions without any help and they are large enough to be usable (wheelbarrows, etc.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Very pretty, 6 Jan. 2013

Abalone earrings often seem to be studs or short drops, these longer drops are just what I had been looking for.

This review is from: Knit Step by Step (Hardcover)
Nice clear instructions for the basics and lots of stitch/technique descriptions. I've made a couple of the projects from the book and use it alongside other patterns to check I am getting the more unusual stitches right!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great practice books, 27 Oct. 2012

Bought to provide some fun maths practice at home. The high standard I would expect from DK and they cover a range of topics. Should think we will be working our way through the whole set.

I have several of these and they are great to occupy my maze-mad child. They're very small so they tuck easily into a bag.

Spare base boards to reduce the squabbling over who gets the big one! Nice to have the different shape one too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely little gift, 3 July 2012
These little tins have proved to be a very useful top-up gift. The beads are really pretty and they have been very popular with the four and five year olds who have been given them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oversized, more practical meccano, 23 May 2012
The boys (6 and 4) have had lots of fun creating assorted vehicles, creatures and inventions. It's satisfyingly large and so they get big results and chunky enough for even little hands to deal with (the younger one needs help tightening nuts and bolts sometimes). Much preferred to the modern meccano which is too fiddly for little fingers and ends up with everyone frustrated. I can see this being in use for some time.
