4.0 out of 5 stars Great little bit of kit for the price, 17 Jan. 2015

Great little bit of kit for the price. Everything fits my iPhone 6 properly and everything works as it should. The lenses are unspectacular, but passable to achieve some slightly different effects on photos or videos. The tripod, tripod clamp, selfie stick and remote bluetooth function all work perfectly, so you can take photos as well as start video recording remotely. Good value for money overall.

Never looked better - this beats the DVD release hands down on picture quality. The Sound mix on this imported BR release isn't anything to write home about, but it's fine for purpose. Some decent and fun extras on the disc too.

I would have liked to see the song 'When love is gone' reintroduced or even included as a cut scene, aside from that I have no complaints.

Feel-good Christmas fun for the whole family, right here!

5.0 out of 5 stars but I didn't like the polished centre links so changed it out for ..., 18 Nov. 2014

Absolutely cracking automatic dive watch at a steal of a price.

A complete homage to the Rolex Submariner, this is a solid and well built timepiece. with a quality hacking movement. The bracelet too is solid and well made, but I didn't like the polished centre links so changed it out for a Bond Nato strap. Just personal preference on that one.

The other two minor negatives, again just my personal nitpicks, are the engraved INVICTA logo on the side of the case (which I feel the design could have done without) and the lume on the dot markers is fairly weak - they hold their lume after a direct charge from a light source, but this quickly fades away to almost nothing once the watch is in darkness. But at this price point, these nitpicks won't allow me to knock a star off my review.

This is a great looking, 200m water resistant. automatic, everyday timepiece and at 4 grand cheaper than it's parent Rolex Sub, a real bargain. I love mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down!, 20 Jan. 2013
Read this in one sitting and finished at 3.20am. It was addictive and fufills voyeristic tendencies. A unique book that avoids prose and is filled with a sneak peek into a sassy woman's life via the medium of email, texts and social media.

5.0 out of 5 stars A superb volume packed with trivia, notes and entertainment, 8 April 2009
'The New Annotated Dracula' is a feature-packed presentation of Stoker's original 1897 novel, presented in it's unabridged version, together with 1500 notes, maps, illustrations, points of history and trivia, excepts from Stoker's edited additional material...in short, everything the Dracula fan could possibly want in a volume, including additional chapters on Stoker's life, information on TV and Film versions of the story etc.

A highly-engaging, enjoyable and informative presentation of this classic work of Gothic literature.

Highly recommended.

When I got this game, I was expecting it to be like HSM2:Work this out which is amazing. I am sorry to say I was disappointed. I got bored in a matter of minutes. It is OK since you get to take quizzes, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Superbad The Illustrated Moviebook(Newmarket Pictorial Moviebooks)
by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book for fans, 8 Aug. 2008
Nicely presented tie-in book for the superfunny movie - lots of colour pics and illustrations, not much insight into the making of the movie but superficially interesting none the less.

The screenplay is included - it's interesting to note the changes and ad-libs in the filmed version.

Definately worth having for fans of the movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Supergood - an instant classic for those who 'get it'., 8 Aug. 2008
Superbad is not for everyone.

The one star reviews here demonstrate that a certain percentage of the poplace is just not going to get this movie - fair do's, to each their own.

However, there are many who perceive Superbad to be an instant comedy classic and the funniest film of the decade so far. I'm one of those people.

The film was many years in development, which comes across in the character development and interwoven storyline. Not that this is a complex story, by any means. It's a very simple premise of three guys who need to buy liquor for their grad party. The beauty of the film is not in what they are doing, but in how they do it.

The three main characters are well cast and genuinely funny - Christopher Mintz-Platz in his debut role (Mclovin!) is a scene stealer and the laurel and hardy-esque pairing of Jonah Hill and Michael Cera (as Seth and Evan) gives this film a solid backbone, a great platform for the filmakers to introduce a wierd and wonderful array of supporting characters into the mix - including co-writer Seth Rogan and Bill Hader as a pair of crazy cops.

Behind the comedic vulgarity and Animal House / American Pie facade, this film succeeds because it has a heart. As the action continues, we realise that this is also a veiled coming-of-age drama.

The filmakers have approached their subject with an obvious dedication to make this film something more than just another teen comedy.

A funky soundtrack and vintage 70's feel (although the movie is set in the present day) complete the package.

This film has that rare rewatchable quality which will demand repeated viewings time and time again, to those who love it.

Superbad is supergood. 5/5

2.0 out of 5 stars Chewing gum for the brain...., 6 Jan. 2004
Speaking as a big IJ fan, I cannot in honesty rave about this (or ANY of the) IJ books.
The character represented does not live-up to the Ford IJ seen on screen - however, these books make for an easy and non-taxing read.
No pulitzer, but it's OK if you don't expect too much.

5.0 out of 5 stars A flawless masterpiece, 6 Jan. 2004
A finely written saga of dwarves and elves, fearsome goblins and trolls. An exciting epic of travel and magical adventure, all working up to a devastating climax.
The English-speaking world is divided into those who have read THE HOBBIT and THE LORD OF THE RINGS and those who are going to read them.
Trust me - this book will thrill and delight you, it is the finest fantasy book ever written, second only to LOTR - but the comparison is perhaps unfair. This is an earlier book written for children primarily, which turned into a worlwide phenomenon beloved by all.
Tolkien rewrote certain chapters of this book to coincide with the publication of LOTR - this reworked (and best) version is presented here in a very nice, well-bound edition.
Wholly recommended.
