5.0 out of 5 stars It turns out that these songs are about me..., 20 Aug 2004
This is a truely magnificent album by two very gifted young lads... I saw them live for the first time this year, and it was breathtaking. I have never witnessed anything like this before in my life. I instantly fell in love. With them, and their music.
The style has been dubbed as 'Folk - Hip-Hop', which sounds interesting in itself, but it has to be heard to be believed. I'll stop my ramblings now...Just one more thing;
If there is only one CD that you buy this year, it has to be this. There is nothing out there like it, believe me!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars For the poppier fans of Cursive, 18 May 2004
This review is from: Lovers Need Lawyers (Audio CD)
It seems that Tim Kasher has left his poppier tracks for his side project 'The Good Life'. The same man of leftfield noiseniks Cursive fame, and also Bright Eyes backing band, returns with a delightful little album.
This is designed as a precursor to the full album that'll be out sometime after the summer. It is a shame that he finally builds into full momentum by the time the six tracks are over, but it does leave you wanting more. If a fan of his earlier work, then i recommend you get a hold of this to keep you going till the release.
With the tactile cuteness of Felt, and the swing of Celtic-soul Dexy's, it has surely opened the door open for him to propel himself into Saddle Creek's growing list of talented acts!
