Fabulous Playing, 13 April 2012
Thomas Bowes, Joseph Swensen and the Malmø orchestra may not be the best known names in classical music, but this is one of the finest recordings I've come across in years. These performances are passionate and yet precise, which is a very difficult thing to accomplish. Bowes plays with sumptuousness and clarity, and with a commitment that clearly demonstrates the affection he has for these two pieces. The orchestra sounds fantastic, and the overall quality of the production is pristine.
