4.0 out of 5 stars jQuery Mobile: First Look, 24 Aug. 2011
This book serves as a great overview of the jQuery Mobile API. The book goes over the main areas you need to know about as a new comer to the framework. For the more experienced, as I am, I found the book to be useful for uncovering the methods we can use to manipulate a project programmatically (i.e. with JavaScript rather than writing static HTML with the relevant classes applied). Because the official documentation is not yet fully complete, this book is invaluable, with each plugin's API laid out. The book also includes handy references to things such as ui-icon attribute names, for example.

The book is also very friendly to users who may be unfamiliar with some of jQuery's more advanced features and design patterns, with plenty of explanatory pull-quotes and helpful tips. This book should definitely be your first reference point to get a good overview of what's possible and how the framework is set up. There are more books on jQuery Mobile due to be released in the coming months which can help build upon the basics laid out here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply the best UI book you can get!, 29 July 2010
This book covers every aspect you could think of in the field of UI design - UX, usability, cognitive psychology. With references to the other great books (including Don Norman's of course), every chapter offers brilliant insight and sparks so many ideas that you're constantly thinking about them when designing or coding a project.
