5.0 out of 5 stars Superb product, 29 Jun 2014
The instructions said it required two to assemble but it only took one man and an electric screwdriver a couple of hours. For a bin covering it is extremely good looking and sturdy. It has a prop up lid for easy access on a daily basis for your rubbish and light chains to hold the bins in place. A bit expensive but you usually get what you pay for. I have no regrets shelling out for this and it has beatified a dark cirner of the garden

3.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful product but only about two feet tall!, 29 Jun 2014
I bought this because the colouring and pattern suit my garden and the central barbeque is such an interesting feature. It arrived in a flatpack and was quite easy to assemble though very heavy. As the delivery man said ' noone's going to run off with that love!'. My son assembled it and I thought he'd missed the legs off because it is so low off the ground but no, it really is hobbit-sized. Why would anyone make a garden set so small?

Beyond Depression: A new approach to understanding and management (Oxford Medical Publications)
Beyond Depression: A new approach to understanding and management (Oxford Medical Publications)

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply delicious., 27 April 2005
This is not your average medical textbook - this is an inspiring read for any human being. Whether you're a patient fed up of yet another antidepressant prescription or whether you're a beleaguered health professional grappling with the complexities of mental health care, I think you'll open this book and heave a huge sigh of relief that here, at last, is someone who really understands.
I've put 'depression' in quotation marks because Professor Dowrick unpicks and remodels our understanding of the whole subject like a master sculptor correcting a fault in his pupil's clay and by the time you've finished reading this book you'll know exactly what he means.'I have argued that the concept of depression as a medical condition has less validity and utility than is commonly supposed and that the reasons for its popularity may have more to do with commercial, professional and organisational interests, and with our value systems, than with any intrinsic scientific worth it might possess... I would like to suggest a way of prescribing a sense of purpose in place of paroxetine and supplanting venlafaxine with a new system of values.'
His thesis is simple but deep and it is a pleasure to read an author who can illustrate his point by effortlessly crossing academic borders, weaving anthropology, linguistics, literature and philosphy into the emotionally arid foundations of medical research. He redresses the imbalance between 'the emphasis on measurable skills in modern medical education and clinical practice' and 'the importance of linguistic, empathic and interpretive skills' by using narrative and touching case studies, for example '...it is a question of whether it is more valuable to see Bernie as a patient with a dual diagnosis of depressive disorder and alcohol dependence, or as an emerging poet and aspiring local politician'.
This is a luschious buttered crumpet of a book to be savoured and thoroughly enjoyed by the therapeutically challenged. I would recommend it to everyone and already have a waiting list of people who want to read it after me but they'll have to wait -I'm on my second read and have a sneaking suspicion that I might indulge in a greedy third helping. It's simply delicious.

5.0 out of 5 stars positively the best!, 23 April 2001
Having studied Tarot for several years, this pack and the accompanying book are the most beautiful, informative, positive and magical combination that I've ever encountered....not only has Lisa the knowledge and wisdom that comes from 20 years of experience in this field but she has also painted the cards herself, imbuing them with love and knowledge. The result is an inspiring and phenomenally accurate tool for self-development.This pack may seriously change your life - it did mine.
