1.0 out of 5 stars Quite possibly the worst game I have ever played, 13 Nov. 2009
I do not have a single good word to say about this game. If i could give it 0 stars I would. The AI is rubbish and just stands around like chickens. the graphics are exceptionally poor, despite being on the Xbox, the graphics look at least 10 years old. There is no intensity throughout the game and its generally very boring. Yes its suppose to be a simulator but its alos meant to be entertaining which this game fails to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars A promising start for Microsoft, 28 Nov. 2007
I got in April and I have been pleased wiht it ever since. Fair enough you cant get the all the bits and bobs for it over here but what can you expect when its not released in the UK. It doesnt have drag and drop but that doesnt bother me one bit as syncing all my music was really easy. The software is excellent given that it is virtually the same as Windows Media player so there are no learnign curves. Microsoft have been really good with the updates and the last one added some good features such as wireless sync and anew layout for the software. An added bonus is that i can connect this to my Xbox 360. and listen to all my music whilst playing on the xbox.
My previous Mp3 player was an iriver and i've found the Zune much better in terms of interface. The screen on it is excellent which making watching videos so much better. The radio works just as i would want it to and this was one fo the main selling points for me. I listen to a fair bit of radio and so i didnt want to have to pay for a radio attachment like you do with ipods.
The two tone colour make this mp3 quite interesting, i wasnt keen ont he brown so i went with the black but its a nice idea and makes a chance to the dull black or white plastic.
oh and the magnetic headphones are so cool.
The ability to share songs for a limited time is an ok idea but isnt really worth it. I never bothered with using the marketplace to get my songs as there are thousnan ds of other places where you can download songs so just use them.
Fair enough the battery life isnt brilliant but it isnt so hard to charge it up once in a while. I took my Zune with me when i was on a coach trip around USA and it was a pain if the battery went dead but like all electrical devices if you remember to charge it if you know your battery is going to die then you'll have no problems.
Having the first generation of Zune I will continue to buy from Microsoft and i'm so glad that i got this instead of an ipod.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun while it lasts, 25 Sept. 2007
This is a really good expansion pack for a game that was already brilliant. Apart from the 4 new campaigns, this expansion pack adds a few changes which although sutle, really do improve the game play. First of all, each campaign has different abilites associated with it, Britannia has the Barons revolt where if you dont care for your barons loyalty, they rebel and start their own faction rather then become just a normal rebel who you can latter bribe. In the crusades campaign, key figures such as Richard the Lionheart, Saladin and Baybars feature and providespecial abilites ot the army they are leading. In the Americas, there are no castles but support is provided from the homeland and explration is more challenging. In the Teutonics campaign crusading nobles help your cause and the good old Hanseatic League, lasat since in the first installment of Medieval returns. A recurring theme which is probably the best feature is that recuitment is dependant upon relgion, culture etc... as a certain level of catholicism for example is needed to recuit the most powerful units.
The main problem this game has is that although there are four campaigns, they are quite short, some only require the capture of 25 settlements for the long campaign and thus I completed the game in under a week.
it is a lot better if you take the time to play as all the different types of factions instead of completing each campaign once and then enver playing on it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars great graphics, great game, 9 April 2007
Having played the full game, it has one of the nicest command and conquer ever made. Fans of the original command and conquer will recongise some old favourites including the flame tank and the stealth tank and you will enjoy some new editions including zone troopers, rigs, avatars, shadow teams and of course a whole new army, the mighty Scrin. Although the army is a little sci-fi, they rock. All three armies provide different tactical elements, Nod prefer stealth, GDI use shock and awe whilst Scrin use expensive aerial attacks. There are plenty of maps to keep you busy on skirmish and the campaign provides over 35 different levels to try. The graphics are great and that obviously means you need a good PC, I'm running a 256mb graphic card and 3ghz processor and its works fine. As already mentioned, not much as changed since the original but its well worth getting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun, 9 April 2007
This review is from: NHL 2K7 (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
I've never been an ice hockey fan but this game is sinply brillant. The game is east to pick up and you'll be skating around beat up the other team in no time. As with many sport games, it can lose its appeal, but whene you are a few of you playing on it, there is a whole range of ice hockey related mini games that provide hours of entertainment. The graphics are nice and crisp, nothing less then what you would expect from an Xbox 360.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your average childrens book, 21 Jan. 2007
This review is from: Wormwood (Paperback)
I'm disappointed that this book has received such poor reviews. Following on from the success of Shadowmancer, I was thrilled to hear that G P Taylor was releasing a new book. The story isnt really aimed as younger children but its great for teenagers wh want to read a book a fanatsy book thats aimed at teenagers rather then children or adults. The storyline isnts a strong as Shadowmancer but its still interesting

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sequel, 21 Jan. 2007
I've read all of G P Taylors books and I am yet to be disappointed. I wasn't too sure when I heard that his next book was a sequel of the brillant Shadowmancer because as a rule fo thumb sequels arent as good as the original but I was wrong. The usual inter-twining stories contionue to be effect and the two stories really work together. What made this book particular good was the introduction of English folklore. The story of black Shuck, the hellhound of East Anglia is clevely included as gives the book a greater feel of Victorian Britain. This is a much read for anyone who has enjoyed any of G P Taylor's books

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun, 11 Jan. 2007
At first i was a little sceptical about this, i thought that it woudl be aother boring tennis style game but i was wrong, its easy to learn yet difficult to master, it is can be very challenging but that s what makes it fun. For racing games being thrilling, this is more thrilling then any other game I've played, have a 50+ hit rally really builds up the tension. Its one of the few games around that really hurt your fingers because you get that into the game. Simply fantastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, cannot wait for the next, 4 Jan. 2007
Following on from the excellent Horus Rising and False gods, Galaxy in Flames leads you straight into the action with the Battle of Istavan III. The battle is excellently portrayed and betrayal is fully woven into the story. Having know part of the story already, the story of lucius is well constructed as you would always be wondering what is going to happen next. One of the main problems as many people have already mentioned is that the characters aren't fully developed, you dont get so personal with Horus as you did with False Gods, which is a great shame.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, 4 Jan. 2007
This is a good game but it is not much better then the first one, the gameplay is the mostly the same, although it loses thwe strategy campaign and gains a somewhat confusing War of the Ring campaign map which doesnt make up for the loss. However what akes the game a lot more playable is the new races, dwarfs, elves, goblins and the ability to create your own hero. The collectors edition provides a nice art collection and behind the seens footage and provides some useful gameplay extras such as new maps and more dragons then normal. The game is good none the less but i'm not too sure whether or not the extra money is worth it. If you can get it cheap then go for it.
