5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent piece of kit, 1 Jan. 2012

Im not a brilliant guitarist by any stretch of he imagination and so buying loads of pedals is something I can't justify. With this little gadget I can have a hole host of pedals and effects at the touch of a virtual button. The add ons for the free app are cheap enough to buy and I've quite a few now ;-) the irig is easy to use and I can find any fault with it at all.

This is quite a short journey into the world of 'Quaint' - certainly well worth reading and leaves me looking forward to the next installment ;-)

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty poor, 8 Dec. 2011

As mentioned by another review here these are thin labels and nearly impossible to peel the backing from. I have two inkjet printers and these labels would not feed into either - one printer is brand new and has no trouble feeding other stock. Will buy better quality labels next time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 24 Nov. 2011
This bag was an upgrade from a smaller but similar style Lowe Pro, this bag is a big by improvement. The bag has a quality feel about it to start with, and as you discover the different ways of using the bag you realise it's been well thought out. You can wear the bag in a number of ways, from a single strap across your chest, normal backpack style, or by crossing both straps over our chest. There's a wet weather cover included which is handy. And it feels comfortable to wear. I managed to get my main dslr with zoom lens in plus a spare dslr body and two other lenses, filters, and sundries.

Bought this watch when it was on offer and it looks good for the price £19 it sure I would pay the RRP for it but that's maybe just me ;-) anyway, it's comfortable to wear and have quite large arms so finding a comfortable watch can be a pain at times, the face when I first looked at it was a little cluttered but now I find it quite easy to read at a glance. Not tried the chrono feature yet and not sure I will.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading, 22 Nov. 2011

If you're into Tolkien, or any of his works and want to know a little more about the man, his life, and how he worked then this is the book to buy. It was written by someone who met Tolkien and spent a great deal of time with his family - so its not an account written by someone years after the events. There are insights into Tolkien's daily life, his inspirations, his professional life, in fact Humphrey Carpenter reveals snippets from every aspect of Tolkiens life.

3.0 out of 5 stars Far too slow, 19 Nov. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have really enjoyed this series to date but really this book has been a real let down. Over a thousand pages long and the story hasn't really advanced much at all, it read like a book of unfinished roughs that needed edited to a readable book. Negatives aside the characters are still well written and he does take you into the moment. But seriously this book is far too long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not as advertised but a lovely edition., 16 Nov. 2011

The Amazon product review reads...
"Amazon.co.uk Review
This beautifully presented collector's box of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit is a must for fans of this timeless classic and anyone looking to learn more about the story that started it all.

Included in this box is a nicely bound hardback edition of The Hobbit and a collection of eight colour postcards featuring some of Tolkien's own artwork. Tolkien himself makes yet another guest appearance on an exclusive CD which features a recording of Tolkien reading an extract from Bilbo's first encounter with the terrifying Gollum. Lastly, there is a beautifully painted foldout map of Wilderland by John Howe with text by Brian Sibley."

What you actually get is a hardback copy of the The Hobbit in its 70th anniversary guise as per the product title, so if you read the Amazon product review and expect to get a box set with CD beware! The actual book itself is beautifully produced, the colour illustrations by Tolkien are very well printed, and the book has a nice 'quality' feel about it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nearly but not quite a 5 star rating..., 15 Nov. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Unlike other reviews here my edition of this book does have the black and white illustrations inside so I can't fault it for that, in fact I find very little to fault in this edition other than the size of the text which is a little on the small side and perhaps too close to the margin, but then this keeps the page count down ;-) I would find the size of type a little hard on the eyes if I were reading for a prolonged period though. I don't suppose anyone really needs another review of the actual contents of the book? But if you collect Tolkien books or have an interest in them I'd say this is worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Viewed as a F1 fan not a Senna fan ;-), 6 Nov. 2011

This review is from: Senna [DVD] [2010] (DVD)
I've been a lifelong F1 fan but not really a fan of Senna, watching this brought back many memories from that era and makes you realise how far acing has come. But, to the film... This really does give you an insight into the life of a F1 legend, it's interspersed with olds of family movie clips, interviews with people at the time and footage of races and accidents. Really worth watching, and if you are fairly new to F1 perhaps it should be essential viewing to see how things have changed and see a legend in action.
