5.0 out of 5 stars A really nice cake dome, 16 Feb. 2015

A really nice cake dome! The wooden base is really smooth to the touch and rotates effortlessly making it a great addition to my wife's coffee shop. The dome is made of glass but doesn't feel fragile as it has a good weight to it with the glass being fairly thick.

It came in a nice colour box too.

Great little dip set!
The rotating movement is smooth and the ceramic dishes are removable making it easy to clean as I can pop them in the dishwasher when I'm done. It's 24cm in diameter so it doesn't take too much space on my dining table making it the perfect little centrepiece.

It comes in a nice gift box too so it would be great as a gift to a friend :)

5.0 out of 5 stars All round great cheese board, 27 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
All round great cheese board, the wood is good quality and very smooth. The knives may be small, but they're comfortable, work really well and have a good weight to them. The drawer opens easily which I'm happy about as I thought it might be a bit awkward, but its surprisingly easy to use. It comes in a nice coloured box so if you're thinking about getting it as a gift you won't need to worry as it looks splendid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value!, 26 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A lovely cheese board, the slate looks great and the knives not only look good, they're sharp too, cutting my Stilton cheese effortlessly. After purchasing I was worried that the slate might scratch my tabletop but after receiving the item I was relieved to see that the slate has little foam feet in each corner which is great. The box it comes in looks lovely too so I'll probably purchase another one for my friends upcoming wedding as it would make for a fantastic present!

5.0 out of 5 stars On the edge? try the demo., 23 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So this game is a co-operative hunting game with up to 4 players or 3 NPC's (depending if you want to play online or not).
The game progresses in completing quests which unlock more difficult quests to undertake.

Story: Unlike monster hunter, there is an actual story line with cutscenes and character progression. Of course the story isn't that great, mainly 'stop a demon from starting the apocalypse before the demon gets too strong.' Characters that you can take quests with have backgrounds which you'll slowly learn over the course of the single player campaign *minor spoiler* such as a flying demon that destroys fugaku's village along with it's inhabitants. Of course it's all rather cliche but it's what you'd expect from a hunting game.

Gameplay: There are several weapon classes within toukiden, Long sword, bow, spear, gauntlets, chain and sickle, and dual swords. All feel very different from each other and have to be experimented with to be appreciated. Dual swords and chain and sickle allow for aerial combat which allows you to attack hard to reach places.
Each weapon has a 2 special moves, one that drains stamina to deal heavy damage and the other, that can only be used once or twice per quest, charges up with consecutive hits. When the bar is full you press triangle and circle to instantly cut or destroy a part of the enemy.
Aside from the normal attacks you can use magic from souls you collect. Souls can be equipped to weapons change the way quests are carried out by giving roles to the group such as defense, offence, healing, damage spells and some unique souls that work with luck and spacetime. This can make online very team based as you can have one member activating an immobilising spell whilst others charge up their damage spells or attack continuously.

Grinding: Like monster hunter you get parts from enemies that can be used to forge weapons and armor (all with their own distinctive appearance) So to increase your defence you can either buy new better armor or keep using the same weapon and armor and upgrade them at the blacksmith. Weapons and armor can be upgraded to level 9 and require exp before they can be leveled. Souls also have a leveling system up to level 10 which will unlock buffs when equipped such as increased damage or health.

My best advice is to try the demo and see if you like it, as far as hunting games go this has been my favorite to date but hunting games aren't for everyone, the good thing is you can try before you buy so go on, give it a try ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars Who would have guessed!, 21 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its like an expensive scratch card that you always win. At the time of purchase i got this for £24.79 so i made like... £0.21.
Bargain!
Used it to get a 3 month ps plus subscription and another game. Uncharted, Mortal kombat, big sky infinity and everbody's golf for £24.79 deal and a half is what it is. Plus i could have got a bunch of other games, like bioshock and vanquish. The only problem is my internet is slower than a tortoise on a treadmill so 15gb would roughly take the length of my subscription to download, so that was a no no...

Anywho, yeah good product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Replay Value, 9 Jan. 2013
This review is from: Far Cry 3 (PS3) (Video Game)
Brilliant game.
The acting is top notch, really believable. Graphics are stunning. Multiplayer great fun. Great single player.
I really have nothing bad to say about this game but i will focus on the title for now as everything else is pretty much covered.

The story mode is downright awesome. But aside from this here is a list of things that keep you wanting to play afterwards.

Items to collect:
there are many things to collect on your journeys, relics, memory cards and information. You have a handbook that updates wildlife everytime you hunt one of them and there is a huge list for animals to discover, im still finding some now.

things to do:
There are also checkpoints, if you've played San Andreas it works in a similar way. Area's are patrolled by the enemy or you/allies. To conquer a checkpoint you must kill everyone inside. You can do this in a number of ways. Taking out the alarms first then go in guns blazing/ go in guns blazing trip the alarms and fight off reinforcements who may arrive with machine gun mounted vehicles/ kill everyone stealhily/ take out alarms stealth kill some shoot the rest etc.
Max out your skills/Tattau/Tattoo. You have a tattoo on your arm that gives you skills to unlock every time you level up. A new section of a tattoo will give you different skills of your choosing such as takedowns, hunting, gathering, and many more.
Radio towers: By disabling radio towers you unscramble your map allowing you to see everything around the tower on your map, it also unlocks weapons to be bought for free at the store. but this is something you do during the main story just because missions will take you nearby and you get sidetracked to reveal the map.

Multiplayer:
Really enjoyable, being able to humiliate or praise your enemy is an awesome touch, unlockables a plenty this mode is sure to entertain for hours and hours.
I havent spent too much time here though as the main campaign has kept me more than entertained, i've only played the multiplayer when i've been short on time and fancied a quick match.

I reckon i will play this more than i did skyrim, which i thouroughy enjoyed.

5.0 out of 5 stars best game available on vita, 27 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Just incredible, huge open world, 8 areas all of decent size that you can visit at any time after completion, A challenging platinum trophy although not incredibly difficult either. Great ideas utilized effectively, leaves room for a sequel or sequels, any of which will be an immediate purchase by myself and im sure a very, very large proportion of other gravity rush owners will as well.

strongly reccommended, buy it!

4.0 out of 5 stars has its drawbacks but..., 12 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this is based on the single player campaign.

Graphics
They are by no means terrible but they could be better. as a comparison the graphics of Res burning skies are on par with the more decent graphics of Ps2 games which isn't awful at all.
People have complained about glitches but i experienced one during an entire play through. and that was being able to see through the floor when i died. this had no effect on gameplay or events. there was however some sound issues with the gatling gun.
The A.I were okay, the animation was a bit off, for example when chimeras run into cover their steps don't accurately correlate to distance traveled if that makes sense?

Gameplay
the controls are brilliant and give the user an idea as to how first person shooters work on the vita. For COD players, knife is a touchscreen command located near the right analogue stick. damage grenade is loacated on the touchscreen above the knige option and above damage grenade is the special grenade. these came surprisingly natural to me and panic axeing never led to grenades being thrown. Sprinting was activated by either: pressing down on arrow keys or double tap of the rear touch pad. surprisingly the double tap sprint never went off accidentally at all, and i was able to go into sprint whenever i wanted to without complaint, despite this, i didnt actually use sprint much when it wasn't needed as i tended to forget the option was there. As with previous resistance franchises the jetpack chimera would vary from location to location and you can easily predict where they were coming from. when crouching behind cover you would seemingly become invincible less grenades landed near you or chimera attacked from the side, and by pressing L you would aim over the barrier (you can get hit at this point) and when released you would be back in cover. After receiving the sniper rifle i thought oh yes this is the shiz. I felt like such a boss getting headshot after headshot, and a few quick scopes which im usually crap at, and i thought online is going to be ace with this, but i've yet to try online yet as i dont have wifi :S p.s unlike res 3 health is regenerated

story mode
not much going for it in terms of story mode, kind of predictable and it could have been alot more emotional, although the voice acting wasn't bad and the script was believable. It consists of 6 big levels roughly an hour each depending on how often you die. After completing the game you get an option of new game + which lets you start off with all weapons and upgrades. you also unlock a new difficulty level called superhuman which i've yet to try, some of the boss battles could have been more drawn out with the addition of mounted weapons but oh well.

improvements that could be made:
graphics could be better
character development would make the story better
battles could be better thought out

4*overall for single campaign alone.
for trophy hunters this is an easy platinum as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing but..., 25 Mar. 2012
The ps vita is incredible and i strongly recommend buying it, the graphics are amazing and the controls feel fine. however i have had a few technical issues for example touchscreen malfunction (it would fail to work and all menus are controlled with the touchscreen) but this is fixed after holding down the power button for 30 seconds. if you try and power it off normally you have to use the touchscreen to select 'power off' but this is only a minor inconvenience. the devise does NOT get hot after using it for long periods of time and usually lasts for little longer than 4 hours whilst playing wipeout (possibly one of the more demanding titles for the vita) every game i own has the option of disabling the rear touch pad (apart from little deviants) so if you cant adjust to the rear touchpad then dont use it. also i have fairly large hands (can spread my thumb and little finger to 11 notes on a keyboard or piano the norm is about 8-9) and have never felt uncomfortable playing it.
