Great content, but very poor audio/video presentation on this blu-ray, 3 Nov. 2013
Any Quo concert is an amazing content to put on a blu-ray, but having previously enjoyed the superb quality Quo Live in Montreux blu-ray release from 2009, seeing the poor video and audio quality on this one was a major blow in my face.
The concert (and bonus documentary) were obviously shot in 1080i50, but someone decided it would be a good idea to convert the video to 1080p24 for the blu-ray. Unfortunately they did a terrible job as every movement on the picture is plagued by severe ghosting and frame blending blur. Audio is also not the best, with the included DTSMA 5.1 track being just a generic upmix of the original LPCM 2.0 stereo track, thus sounding very flat and underwhelming, especially when compared to the full fidelity of the Montreux track. Being a spoiled blu-ray collector, I found it barely watchable in the end, and only the great content saved this blu-ray from being put back into its case before seeing the entire concert.
It was nice to find all 9 of the concerts in the tour presented in a uncompressed stereo LPCM track as bonus features though.
Advice: Buy only if you're a Quo fan, as the audio and video quality on this release leave much to be desired.
