5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great cover, the handle is extremly useful, 2 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a great cover, the handle is extremly useful, the fact that it rotates and turns into a stand is a real plus.

However using the ipad 4 with it led to a few cosmetic adaptions I had to make. The charge port was hard to reach using the charger so I cut off (with scissors) the cover to allow easy access.
I also had to cutaway the cover for the home button, as it was sticking out and too easy to accidently press.
I also cut into the cover itself near the power button as I use it a lot and it was tucked very near the rubber. I wanted to press it more easily.
Its worth noting that I use the 'Soundjaw' on my ipad to increase volume, which fitted with this cover.

Having said that, it is a very useful cover that was easy to put on widthwise. It does not go in lengthwise and it comes with no instructions so I imagine the people having trouble with this are just not use to putting these type of cases on. Just know that it does fit in easily, but in one direction only.

Great case, im buying another for my parents ipad for Christmas for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best film of 2015, 16 Nov. 2015
This review is from: No Escape [DVD] [2015] (DVD)
Best film of 2015 (althought I havent watched Star Wars 7 yet!) but this is the most intense film I have ever seen and has you wondering what would you do if you were in that situation, every step of the way.
They got lucky that Pierce Brosnon was there at times, but he is needed for story development and he is so James Bond in his role you start to miss him in the role. But this is not his story, its about the family. On that note, there are two children in it and for the most part they behave normally and only a couple of times do their actions cause problems.
There is a geographical issue with how far the border is from the town, but ignoring that this is an amazing film and worthy off Oscars for almost every cast member. Deffiently worth buying and owning forever.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ruined by control system and submission mechanics., 12 Nov. 2015
This review is from: WWE 2K16 (Xbox One) (Video Game)
Worst controls ever. Button bashing at times, but then I have no idea how to pin or throw over the top rope. There is no button guide or manual. You click it and it tells you to go to a website to find it. There is no tutorial mode, and the submission hints are impossibel to understand. Move the R button is what it says. Is that the Right trigger, the Joystick? If thats true, how am I suppose to press A at the same time? Ten games and havent even come close to winning any. Career mode is just as bad.

The number of wrestlers is great. There are lots of game modes and they all have their associated music and ring attire. Graphics aren't going to blow you away and the audience is odd. But they do a reasonable job. But no matter how good certain aspects are, when I have no idea how to play the game and what I do know it not fun to do, it fails.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only a couple of maps per gametype, very unbalanced matchmaking and hit detection is dreadful., 6 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Received this game today from Amazon. Game took 35 minutes to install. Then there was a 9GB update. After a few hours I was playing but I guess thats to be expected with all Xbox one games now. I do miss the days when you could just put the game in and start playing.

Went straight into Multiplayer and this feels like a sequel to Titanfall. The gunplay dynamic is exactly the same. There are no Titans (that I found) but the maps are great, even a newbie like me got a few kills with the basic gun. However after a while you start to notice there are only two, sometimes three maps in each play mode and it becomes repetitive.

And just like in Titanfall, you rank up, unlock better guns, perks, sights, grips etc. So you have a reason to keep playing. Games took 20 seconds at most to get into which is good. But the balance issue is a MAJOR problem. As a newbie with no decent gun, I am put in matches against players who are 40 levels higher than me. They have much better weapons and my bullets are simply not registering while they have one-hit kills. It makes the balance impossible to work with and zaps all the fun out of the game.

Next was Zombie and there I hit my next problem. It could not find an online community game. Perhaps there was no-one else playing, in the entire world on opening day? So I went into a solo game and lasted four rounds. The game forces you to search the area, looking for stuff. But thats what ultimatly kills you. It might get better and Im glad its here, but against the multiplayer, I doubt this is where I will be spending my time.

The one player campaign is a bit of a mix bag. I havent played enough to give a full opinion but its everything you have come to expect. The story doesn't really connect and the difficulty is set very high. Its designed for online four player co-op play I believe, so its not really a solo game at all and I was dying so often due to enemies materialising from nowhere, it too stopped being fun. The computer could hit you from miles away, while they were pratically invisible and hard to target.
Basic items like grenades are missing from ammo crates and you only have one gun to choose from. You dont have any of the perks and every mission is follow the guy infront, do what he says and if you deviate from the set path, you have five seconds until your dead.

Ive changed my score. Initially I ranked this game highly but after playing further it got worse, so much so that I lost interest in playing it again and just had to come on here and rewrote my review.

2.0 out of 5 stars Turned off after 20 minutes. Needed tighter scripting., 6 Nov. 2015
I should... Err... Talk about something... errr, pretending that Im... Errr a profesional.

Rule 1 in the debating world is to remove the word "Err" from your vocabulary. If you took a drink each time he said it, you would be drunk before his opening speech to the DVD had even finished. Which shows he was "winging it". He had no script, just perhaps a brief outline created on the day. He looks at a statue in the hall and has to read its plaque to know that persons dates in power, even though he was pretending to be an expert on them.

When your lecturing for a proper debating club (or even a local W.I.), you should have your talk memorized, structured, edited and so rehearsed that "err" is not mentioned once. He desperately needed a script.

As for the lecture itself. It was boring. The first ten minutes was him going on about thinking. There were no facts, no figures, no evidence or stories. It was just nonsense jabbering. Any good lecturer knows to hit your audience with something strong from the start to hook them. He did not have that. In fact he started off by talking about how his parents would be proud of him dropping out of school at 15... Okay, there is more to it than that but the point is these are all University students who respect education. Telling them stuff like that Immedietly goes against everything they think about the world. He just didnt read his audience which shows how inexperienced he was at giving a talk.

He had a powerpoint presentation, but I never saw him interact with it as the video kept showing us stills blocking the shot. If he had used the presentation to show the map of the talk, using it as memory joggers, that would have maybe kept it on track. Instead we get lots of waffling.

I turned it off when he shows a picture of Bush and Blair talking about having sex with each other. I imagine it was a joke, but it wasant funny and I couldnt stomach anymore. Again, wrong type of humor for the educated audinece in attendance. You could see them either bored, or holding back laughing at him.

I didnt watch enough to listen to his theories. But the opening section included interviews with the attendees that were not that flattering to be honest, and if those were the best they had to choose from then Im sure Im not missing much.

However this talk does have a good educational component for anyone looking at doing talks on cruise ships, rotary clubs and places like that. Its worth skipping through it to get an insight in how talks are done, what they look like, room dynamic with where audiences are sat, how the projector can be in an awkward location, what to wear, stuff like that. So there is something to learn from this if you are interested in that field.

Its on Netflixs for free, so give the first ten minutes ago and then put something else on instead.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tough watching. Not worth buying., 3 Nov. 2015
Watched the first episode and the animation was poor. Its like talking matte paintings, only the characters body is motionless. In one scene, the adults arms were at their side, static like robots while their jaws moved marginally. Its all been made on a computer in someones basement and its limited budget and time investment in it shows making it painful to watch.

I have not read the book, nor should I need to, to understand this. Even so, it was boring. There is zero action, no enemies, covenant, flood etc. Perhaps they show up in episode 2, but this episode was just boring talking. We are even shown some dead bodies but not how they were kiled. So its too far for children, but not far enough for adults. So instead it pleases no-one.

Combined and edited, All three episodes will last about an hour.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fixed clip means its usefulness is limited., 2 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The clip on the speaker is fixed in place. It does not stretch or move depending on the devise. So it will not allow large tablets to go in, nore will it lock with your ipad if its in a case, which most people's are. This means you have to carry it around with you separately, everywhere you take the iPad.

Its weight is okay, but you will notice it when lying in bed. There is an on/off switch on the devise, and you will need to find it on the ipad via blu tooth settings. These are all factors that delay how soon you can use it and require extra steps from you. I dont know if you can have more than one bluetooth item connected at any time or if the ipad battery will drain faster due to power consumption of the bluetooth to this devise.

Volume wise, its mildly louder than if you used the soundjaw. But quite frankly not loud enough. For something this big and wide and needing charging, I was expecting better. There is also no volume switch on the devise itself. Just because you can change the volume on the ipad itself, does not mean this feature missing is acceptable. It also trembles on bass tones depending on what type of surface it is on. This can be fixed by putting it on a towel or something first, but again its not a problem I even had with the ipad speaker.

It does not come with a charger. It says you should plug it into a PC computer via the USB socket to charge. A useless method if you are travelling and dont have a PC in your rucksack. Thankfully, it will charge with your apple USB plug charger, however the wire it comes with is 20cm long and extremly unpractical.

In conclusion, it did what it said it could do, but a fixed clip, low output, weight and a poor charge lead with missing plug are issues that need considering about before buying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best comic series from DC, gets a GN that ties up storylines and sorts out dangling threads for future coherence., 28 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
While not as great as its previous releases, the Batman Beyond comics in general have been the best DC novels released over the last few years. The charcters storyline is locked to just one title (so you never get lost with arcs that jump across different titles / series) and so each issue can have massive consequences as it exists in its own universe.

This book puts an end to a dangling plot thread related to Terry and his father. The Phantasm is barely a footnote. Which I am glad about as too often are they relying on nostalgia and old villains for ideas, when Terry has a rogue gallery of his own that could do with story development. It also tries to fix some of the family issues as of late.

Overall this is a good read that while not earth-shattering, is a required development in the characters progression and will hopefully serve as a stepping stone to the next big villain.

On a side note, I would like to see the writers make some improvements to the bat suit. It is in theory 30 year old technology and since the series is not related to anything else, I think an upgrade would be a welcomed plot progression. On that note, villains should have the suit technology by now and the stealth feature is heavily underused.

1.0 out of 5 stars There are Zombies trying to kill us, I know lets play Monopoly!, 28 Oct. 2015
During the middle of the outbreak, with the Dad in a dire situation. The rest of the family fully knowing the sitiation they are in decide now would be a good time to play Monopoly and argue over who gets to be the dog. That was the moment the show ended for me.

From the unlikable cast, lack of zombies, stupidity of the characters and boring plot. I just couldnt stand what they did to the walking dead franchise.
