Very good and comprehensive book! Puts you in the right mind-frame in what you can and cannot achieve, depending on your body type. Very educational and interesting, if you are into muscles, and ligaments and anatomy and stuff! A must for personal trainers/those into weight lifting!

If you are a girl struggling with your weight and looking for excuses for not having to - this book is for you! If you are a girl however who is an athlete looking for ways to continue with their passion while making sure they aren't overdoing it, this book will not give you an answers/tell you anything you don't know. While the author endevours to provide sound medical advice and reasons for not being obessive about weight/exercise, for those that are not, it is a waste of time. Written very much from the point of view of a shrink (no offense intended) having assessed possibly too many weight related psychological cases it takes a very much "accept yourself for who you are" holistic approach and doesn't particuarly offer anything new in terms of a sports science theoretical framework that perhaps I was looking for. Having said that if you don't get something out of this book - someone you know will, and I will be keeping my copy anyway - just in case!
