5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it now. And then buy it for someone else. And their dog., 12 Nov 2014
Fab! What a great book for dogs... er dog owners.... er companions, well for all I think. Quite clearly for all. Totally looking forward to making the Birthday Cake for Victor and Frankie. And will be buying three more books as Christmas presents, for Sonny, Angus and Annie. Because not only is it well written and full of the best advice and info, it's beautiful. A beautiful book, with brilliant pictures of top dogs!

5.0 out of 5 stars You have to read it!, 12 Dec 2012

What a fab book! Well written and witty. Oh and full of interestign facts advice and recipes from around the globe. In the openign chapter I was there with you at Bangkok airport (well, while I was reading the book anyway) as for the Ferry to Penang - I was on that too with you - except that they showed Titanic. Not the best choice of film for a ferry in Asia, but it did while away the time.

In summary, if you have travelled in this region, read it - you will re-live your journey. If you are going to travel in this region, read it - and then think about the backpacker points you will notch up. Are there any for reading this book? I found it important to notch up backpacker points with books.

The Ultimate Small Business Marketing Book
The Ultimate Small Business Marketing Book
by Dee Blick
Edition: Paperback
Price: £15.00

5.0 out of 5 stars Like a sherbert dib dab!, 3 Jan 2012
And that is a GOOD thing. A sherbert dib dab - dip in for what you want and out it comes making you tingle. This book I have found to be thoroughly useful for all aspects of small business marketing (I run an e-commerce website - but need to look at blending on and off line) and also for the University where I find myself ensconsed and entreated with the need to sell more services. Just dipping in now for some mouth tingling ideas and advice on writing a sales letter that will generate sales. Thanks Dee.

Twitchhiker: How One Man Travelled the World by Twitter

5.0 out of 5 stars Does he or doesn't he?, 9 Jan 2011
A compelling read. A fantastic idea. A great way to travel the world for virtually no money. Hmm. Not quite as it seems. This invigorating read gives a real insight into 'The Kindness of Strangers' (as Kate Adie would say). How people come up with such great ideas and then, more importantly act on them, amazes me. I loved living Paul's 30 day trip vicariously across the world. I wanted to go read his blog, twitter with him and find out more - but had to hold myself back - I needed to know if he made it first.

Cleverly written, Paul has a great way with words that just conjure up images in your head. Some great images and some not so great images! Go buy and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it!, 2 Nov 2009
Simply written and compellingly flowing - I know sounds like a fictional novel, but this certainly isn't. Jam packed full of easy to follow tips and advice from beginning to end. My copy is now well thumbed. . . and been lent to a few friends who I hope have bought their own copies!

Leaving Microsoft to Change the World: An Entrepreneur's Quest to Educate the World's Children
Leaving Microsoft to Change the World: An Entrepreneur's Quest to Educate the World's Children
by John Wood
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.19

5.0 out of 5 stars Invigorating, 2 Nov 2009
What a pleasant romp through one persons ideas to help the world, one book at a time. I found this an inspiring and invigorating read. It really makes you want to 'do something'. It shows how he set up the organisation and doesn't hold back in saying how he did it - and he did it with huge support from people he knows and acknowledges this at every turn. From a strong position in life John Wood gave it all in to give his all to help others. Inspiring. Made me want to go back to Nepal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thought provoking, 2 Nov 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A thought provoking read that isn't too complex, and it could quite easily of been. There are some useful tips in the book that I have implemented and have got me thinking about the way I deliver and the stories from Ernesto are interesting, but some more detail would have made them more enjoyable to me - more 'case studyish'

4.0 out of 5 stars Hefty tome, 2 Nov 2009
Wow - this is a hefty tome and really does look at everyting to do with Social media markeringt - not only does it cover off the main ones such as Facebook, Twitter and Blogging - but delve into the pages and be fascinated with setting up a virtual business on Second Life, social media marketing with games and looking at a million other websites. Great book to help with EVERYTHING, but be careful not to lose focus... Livecasting here I come. I think I will back it up with something more specific on the main social networking websites.
