2.0 out of 5 stars Badly produced edition, 21 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Book of Five Rings (Paperback)
This refers to the "Wilder publications LLC" paperback edition (2008). Pretty sad to see such a great book filled with distracting typos. There are annoying parentheses from someone called Slaegr (the translator? the editor?) where he briefly explains customs and meanings. But in the middle of the text? Footnotes would have been less disruptive. The layout is pretty basic in this version, looks like the font has been picked to fill up the book: if you are looking for a compact copy, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a nice edition to keep, look elsewhere.

Sony NWZB143B 4GB USB Walkman - Black
Sony NWZB143B 4GB USB Walkman - Black

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a long term option, 14 Aug 2012
Do you think Sony is a trustable brand? No. Don't do it. My Walkman let me down with no good reason after a year. 12 months. The old Walkmans (tapes, remember those??) would last forever. The solid-state Sony devices are cheap and unreliable. Sign of the times. Sony no longer takes pride in you as a customer. Customer support. Ha, laugh on my friend. They don't care if your Walkman would up and bite you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not recommended!, 29 Sep 2011
The USB stick itself is a good size but isn't very rugged. The length of the cables provided are very short, and the video cable is connected by a micro-USB connection which is very fragile and liable to give a poor connection.

The driver installs easily. However, the PowerDirector software seems bloated and low quality. In the end we could not get the thing to see the composite video input from a camera either using the bundled software or Windows Video Maker. Customer support is poor: don't take my word for it, but take a look on the Compro website in the forums for the C200 plus (the review "C200plus - poor product" by "monsieurtechnical" covers a lot of issues). Initial replies from the support people are usually quick and polite, but limited in practical help: "Did you read the manual", "try another PC". Issues typically go unresolved (and you will see that many users of this product do not appreciate that, as you might expect).

All in all, I would recommend shopping around for similar products and checking reviews (I wish I had!).

Moulinex 5050P/A505P Coffee Grinder

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the best for static, 20 Jan 2007
I have had experience of a few mill-type grinders. I bought this one, thinking that the brand was reliable. Pity, because it has the worst build-up of static I have ever encountered - the grinds stick something terrible to the inside of the plastic lid AND the metal container. Some static is to be expected, but this was unreal. Also difficult to clean - there are two cross-head screws next to the rotor arm. The shape of the screws could only have been perversely designed to trap gunk, and - if you resort to cleaning with water, or grinding moist herbs etc - trap moisture and make cleaning impossible. All in all, I will not be buying Moulinex products again.
