This is the kind of book that everyone should read, regardless of age. A simple yet touchingly beautiful story with illustrations to match. Highly recommended.

Cutting Edges: Contemporary Collage
Cutting Edges: Contemporary Collage
by Robert Klanten
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring and a beautiful read, 11 May 2013
This book contains an inspiring and eclectic range of contemporary images. It begins with 'a brief history of the twentieth century collage' which helps put the images in the rest of the book in to some sort of context. The image print quality is high, and it's possible to understand the tactile, relief qualities of the collages in the photographs. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone in need of a creative push - it makes me rush for the scissors and glue!

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended!, 11 May 2013
This review is from: Clapham Lights (Paperback)
Clapham Lights was recommended to me by a colleague and I wouldn't hesitate to pass on the recommendation. I even had to find a quiet room at work to hide in to finish the last two chapters because I couldn't wait until the end of the day! Set as the British economy first begins to meltdown (think back to when we first heard that term credit crunch - did we think they'd still be going on about it this many years later?) the benefit of hindsight afforded to the reader makes the various predicaments the main characters get in to even funnier. The way the writer recalls little details about the mid-late noughties in London is really evocative and in this sense reminded me of David Nicholls' One Day. This book is a great read for anyone who wants to laugh out loud at a story of drunken nights, crappy jobs and delusions of grandeur.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, beautiful design, 11 May 2013
These cards are absolutely lovely - really cute designs (but not sickly sweet) and unusual animals and sea creatures. They come in a sturdy box too.
