1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid and save your money!, 6 Oct. 2014
This review is from: FIFA 15 (PS4) (Video Game)
Avoid and save your money.

Firstly I've always been a FIFA fan. The past few years they have been excellent games and been enjoyable experiences. I was a little worried last year when they went from PS3 to PS4 but FIFA2014 was a great game with great control. Which leads me to the excitement this year (bear in mind i'm a mid 30s gamer my chances of winning the league now are non existent). Anyway this game has been an absoulute mess. Firstly there were the issues with BT Infinity broadband users having to change settings then there is the game play. It's sluggish, its pretty boring and the keepers arent that exciting. There are so many glitches also when playing this. Defending is terrible in open play with players not given the same reaction timings as in FIFA 2014. The corner system is pretty good but then again open play is that bad that anything would look like an improvement.

The level of difficulty is poor also, traditionally i'm a Semi Pro to Pro level user. However to make it more challenging i've had to make it World Class and also increase the speed of game play otherwise it was just impossible to play.

I can't for the life of me understand how EA got this through Quality Control internally and how they thought this was a good product to be releasing after FIFA 2014.

Hope they have some good patches up their sleaves as this could be a huge step backwards for EA and FIFA.

5.0 out of 5 stars A true return to form!, 4 Aug. 2014
This review is from: Favorite Waitress (Audio CD)
There seems to be two camps here those who liked "Celebration" and those who hate it. I have to say this is a return to form for the Felice Brothers. I was a little worried after Celebration. I did purchase "God Bless You Amigo" which was a great album in parts but I was worried if I'd ever see the Felice Brothers get the magic back on an album which they had with "Tonight in Arizona" or "Yonder is the Clock".

Fear not this is a great album from start to finish. Back to their roots with a powerful album. Standout tracks for me are "Cherry Licorice", "Meadow Of A Dream", "Lion" and "Hawthorne"

Looking forward to seeing them again live later this month.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album, 25 April 2014
This review is from: Wah Wah (Audio CD)
This is a truly underrated album. Recorded during the "Laid" sessions as already pointed out here. Eno used a lot of these sessions as experiements for the U2 Zooropa album. Wah Wah wasnt released until sadly after Zooropa hence giving U2 credit for being inovated and risk taking when in actual fact James were the most daring of the bands.

The album is true to both the James jaming ethos and also Eno's musical landscapes. Both work well on this album, James have always had a problem with over producing their albums or not capturing what they are like as a live band in the studio. This is probably the best glimpse of what makes this band one of the most important bands of the last 30 yrs and there still going.

There is also a limited edition Jam J remix single which is worth looking out for with Andy Weatherall remixing. The single remix is nothing like the Jam J song and is an extended remix of soundscapes lasting over 30 minutes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sub standard, 26 Dec. 2013
This is basically a bit of plastic. It came broke in the package.

Amazon were excellent in giving a refund but this product isn't really that good. I'm holding off for something a bit more robust

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor recharge rate, 21 Nov. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Cable arrived quickly and packaged well. However the speed of the recharge rate for phone whilst using this cable is very poor. I could charge my phone twice using the original cable compared to charging it with this cable. Its ok for a bit of a tap up charge but not for a full charge.
