2.0 out of 5 stars Where's The Mystery?, 3 May 2014
Perhaps the most perplexing mystery in this series, is why one of the episodes, tells you all the solutions to the puzzle at the beginning of the episode! It's about as suspenseful as a wet rag. It seems like everyone here is just going through the motions without any fun or passion. The cast and the writers are better than this and maybe they should move on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good. But..., 1 Aug 2013
okay so i love all the series, yes even series one, and it's great to have them all collected in one box set. but i really wish they had included the numerous christmas and easter specials. hopefully a smart cookie at the bbc will decided to slap them together in a box set so my french and saunders collection is complete.

5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating., 23 Jan 2013
This series is quietly comedic and yet so emotionally dramatic. It connected with me so profoundly, both the script and actors bring a truly heart wrenching reality to this, at times, comic and philosophic narrative.

I really wish they would release a complete boxset featuring all of Ozon'z films. This is merely the tip of the iceberg of his cinematic greatness.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Please!, 19 Mar 2012
This series is so clever and more importantly funny. Each episode is so unique, but Dawn French's talents shine through out. Hopefully the other series will be coming to dvd soon!

After You've Gone - Series 3 [DVD]
Dvd ~ Nicholas Lyndhurst

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic Sitcom Charm., 17 Jan 2012
Not the most clever or original television series you will watch, but enjoyable none the less. The cast are delightful to watch, Celia Imrie in particular shines in her role as Diana. The format is not to dissimilar to the cliché sitcome conventions of shows like 'My Family', but if you are in the mood for something simple and light hearted, this is the show for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, 9 Oct 2011
I bought this series not knowing a lot about it, but having been a huge fan of David Renwick's other work i thought i would give it a try. On first viewing i didn't pay it too much attention, but after a second viewing, i became engrossed. Tasmin Greig is in fine form as are the supporting actors, once you reach the second series you really become quite attached to the characters. I love the way Renwick cleverly mixes comedy and tragedy in his writing and as always there are some delightful comedic twists. The choice of music also adds to it's charm, this is a must for any fan of David Renwick, come on, it's not rocket salad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Wry., 28 Aug 2011
The comedic chemistry between the three leads is delightful to watch, it's snappily written and well acted. The plots can be a little ridiculous sometimes, but you're so wrapped up in the fun that it really doesn't matter that much. All in all a thoroughly entertaining series, it's a real shame that there's only fourteen episode. If you're a fan of Joanna Lumley, this is essential viewing.
