3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing special, 26 Aug. 2010
This review is from: Crossed Volume 1 (Paperback)
Maybe it suffers from not being as good as a lot of Ennis' other stuff.

As the other reviews say, it is what it is.

The artwork is good, just feels a bit like De Niro 'phoning in one of his latest film performances.

Oddly I lost track of the story about half way through - the scene in the woods with the policeman. I assume the pages are in the wrong order as it makes no sense for a few pages but if you are to read the pages in a different order it almost flows.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor, poor quality!, 14 May 2007
Anyone reading Action as a kid will be dissapointed.

Anyone reading "Action - The Story of a Violent Comic" will feel ripped off.

The book size is quite large but the reprints only fit about 75% of the page!! The quality of the reprints is also poor and the paper is low quality.

Contrast this with the Charley's War books and it's VERY poor quality.

At the time I bought it, the number of pages wasn't stated, it is now with c110 or so - this is only slightly more stories than those in the Martin Barker book.

I only hope they improve vastly before volume 2...
